I'm hearing word that Dak's mother, Peggy Prescott passed away today. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Times like this remind us how much football doesn't matter.

I agree. Can't imagine losing a parent at his age.

It would be bad regardless, but they were CLOSE. Sad day.

Thoughts and prayers. As much as my dad and I fight I can't imagine what it would of felt like if I had lost him to cancer a few years ago. Sad day

It's a benchmark part of your life, a very unfortunate one. Nothing is the same going forward to some degree.

Awful news! I was hoping it wasn't true. Makes me sick

Really feel for the guy, can't imagine how hard that must be.

This is true. I'm glad he goes to a school like ours with plenty of love and support around him.
I lost my dad when I was 20 years old at State. If it weren't for my profs and friends and the other staff at State it would have been a much thougher road to travel.
Thoughts and prayers for Dak and his family for sure.

One of the saddest things I have heard in a long time. I actually saw her a few weeks ago after the Troy game at mugshots. At least she got to see her baby on the big stage and follow his dream

I lost my mom when I was 25. It's not easy at any stage but it will be incredibly difficult in his situation. She was the anchor of the family. He drew a lot of his strength and inspiration from her. Terrible terrible situation for him.
