It didn't for O'Korn, but like you said. We'll see.

Equivalently, it did for Damian Williams.

I don't know anything particular about Bench's recruitment -- was just posing the question...

Feel like he'd provide alot of stability at a position where we currently have the least...

I don't know how he wouldn't be licking his chops looking at our QB situation. If nothing else he would provide some fresh competition there and push the guys we have to work harder. I REALLY hope he decides to come to state, but the state fan in me just doesn't think it will happen.

Bench will visit Mississippi State on Tuesday and Wednesday before going back home to Cairo, Ga., to make a final decision.

After his visit to USF, it probably puts them in the driver seat. He said it'll take a lot from us to bring him to State after the impression USF made on him.

I don't think he will like what he's stepping into at MSU. He won't start over Tyler or Dak.

He's not expecting to this fall. I believe he just wants a shot to compete for the spot next fall.

For some reason I thought Bench was some super stud QB coming out of high school...I just looked him up and he was a three star.

Oh well...would still be a good get.

"I perfectly understand that if it were to be Mississippi State, not saying that it will be or they're leading in this thing but whatever, Tyler Russell is the starter," Bench said. "If I end up at MSU, I want a chance at some point to go in and compete for a starting job."If that's at MSU and then Tyler Russell is the starter then maybe that next spring, I would get a fair shot to start from then on. I will remind everybody I have a redshirt year to use and I'm willing to do that too if I need to in order to get myself ready to be the starting quarterback for the following three years."

"I need to get with them personally and see what their quarterback situation really is going into next season because I think the offense they will want to install is perfect for me," Bench said. "I have talked to Coach Doeren and they have expressed first and foremost they want me bad. That is something that is nice to hear from such a high profile program."

South Florida is a high profile program? Bench is scared of the SEC.

Dave Doeren is the head coach at NC State -- who has been eliminated from contention for Bench.

Yeah, I believe NC State signed the Okie State transfer, so Bench was like fugg that.
