(STATS) – Fordham coach Andrew Breiner resigned on Tuesday to join Joe Moorhead’s new staff at Mississippi State.
Breiner, 33, was 12-11 in two seasons leading Fordham.
He was the Rams’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under Moorhead from 2012-15 and was promoted after Moorhead left to become Penn State’s offensive coordinator two years ago. Breiner also was a graduate assistant alongside Moorhead the previous three years at Connecticut.

Huff — who coached with James Franklin for a year at Vanderbilt before joining the Penn State staff in 2014 — also has experience with the Buffalo Bills, Maryland, Western Michigan, Tennessee State and Hampton.
In his time at Penn State, Huff mentored Heisman Trophy candidate Saquon Barkley, guided an improved special teams unit and was a ferocious recruiter, most notably securing the commitment of Ricky Slade — the No. 2 running back in the class of 2018.

And after adding Bob Shoop on Friday, he’s reportedly added a former Dan Mullen assistant and FBS head coach to his staff. According to a report from footballscoop.com, former Louisiana Lafayette coach Mark Hudspeth will join the staff the tight ends coach. In addition to spening the last seven seasons at Louisiana Lafayette, Hudspeth also has experience at Mississippi State, as the wide receivers coach.

Mississippi State reportedly has offered its linebackers coach job to someone with NFL ties.
On Wednesday, Football Scoop’s Doug Samuels reported Bulldogs coach Joe Moorhead and defensive coordinator Bob Shoop have offered the program’s linebackers coach position to San Francisco 49ers defensive quality control coach Tem Lukabu. Lukabu has worked in the NFL for four seasons and two with San Francisco. He also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2012-13.
Before his arrival in the NFL, Lukabu worked as a defensive assistant at Florida International, Colgate, Rhode Island and Rutgers, mostly as a linebackers coach. He also played linebacker at Colgate from 2000-03.

Georgia is reportedly going to lose an assistant to Mississippi State after the National Championship Game this Monday, as FootballScoop says Scott Fountain, who has served as the Bulldogs’ special teams analyst this season, is set to join Joe Moorhead’s staff in Starkville. Fountain has been a mainstay in the SEC for a number of years, spending eight seasons at Auburn before joining the Georgia staff this season. During his time with the Tigers, he served as both a special teams and tight end coach. He also served as director of player personnel at Auburn from 2009-13.

Sources told The Dispatch Moorhead has hired Eddy Morrissey as a quality control coach. Like Moorhead, Morrissey has spent a lot of time in small college football, most recently as the offensive line coach at Bryant, but he spent three years as Chip Kelly's offensive line coach at Oregon. Morrissey also coached one year at Fordham, Moorhead's alma mater, but he didn't coach with Moorhead at the school. Moorhead spent four years as head coach at Fordham.
The Dispatch also has learned MSU is expected to name San Francisco 49ers defensive quality control coach Tem Lukabu its linebackers coach. Lukabu just coached his fourth season in the NFL, and second with the 49ers. He also spent two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His most recent college coaching experience was as linebackers coach at Florida International in 2015. Lukabu also spent two years at Rutgers, two years at Rhode Island, and a year at his alma mater, Colgate.

Really like the Warsaw hire, getting a guy with that kind of experience to handle the logistics of getting us to Atlanta then to Dallas/Miami and out to Santa Clara with a short turnaround next season will be big.

Buckley comes back for a second season at Mississippi State and gives MSU another Mississippi native on the staff. His cornerback crew helped the Bulldog defense finish 12th in the nation in defending the pass.

Mississippi State brought back a former staff member on Monday. The Bulldogs hired Anthony Piroli as their new head strength and conditioning coach, according to Bob Carskadon of HailState.com. Piroli was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Mississippi State for one season in 2014.
Over the past three seasons, Piroli has served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Arizona Cardinals. Prior to joining the Bulldogs in 2014, Piroli was the co-owner and director of sports performance at Evolution Sports Institute in Pittsburgh for three years. He worked with athletes and coaches at all levels, running strength, speed, flexibility and conditioning programs.
