No possible way you are real. Sorantable for sure.
I never said that it was impossible to get someone to go to Texas and buy a single recruit. NEVER. I said the person that no person exists that could come to MSU and consistently outrecruit Texas, aTm, and LSU in their home states.
You went full retard citing the 3-4 times elite players managed to go elsewhere as PROOF that MSU could own the state of Texas. Literally -- that's what you did.
Your comprehension sucks.
Last 5 years composite recruiting:
Texas - 10 5*, 62 4* - 72 Elite Players
Baylor - 2 5*, 12 4* - 14 Elite Players
aTm enrolled 3 5*s and 11 4*s in THIS CLASS ONLY. The same number of elite talents in one class that Baylor has had in FIVE.
Yep -- Baylor is taking the elite Texas teams to the woodshed on the reg in recruiting. Totally outdoing them.

You asked a question. You mentioned Baylor. You got your answer. It can be done.
Your words were "that person does not exist".

Wow. What about last year? Rohdes.. 5 star. #2 Wr. Billings..
2012..Magee..etc..
BTW.. your words were along the lines of nobody can get a recruit if all 3 of those schools are recruiting them.
Your comprehension sucks.

Nor did I. So why are you talking about it?

That is NOT what you said!
"Please tell me who we can hire to take kids from Texas and Louisiana that those three schools actively want? Because that person doesn't exist."
Those were your exact words engie. Now you are suggesting that I asserted that there is a recruiter out there that can out recruit those schools. That's 2 different animals!
Not only that, you followed up by saying we should be focusing on the left overs. The few diamonds in the rough that they don't go after. So Don't change your position because you could not defend the one you stood on!
quote:

First, pick up a dictionary and learn the word LITERALLY. Then please use it when appropriate.
Second, I didn't even suggest that we would own a state. You can't go back and quote me on that either.
Third, You stated it could not be done. That there were no recruiters that could pull a kid if being offered by them. When I showed that, you moved to "well every now and then" I showed you more. Then you changed your total stance to something I never asserted. NICE!

Really? My comprehension sucks?
Let me slow it down a bit.
Engie... Johnson can recruit, it's just the area he was recruiting to and from. At MSU, he will do better because it's easier to recruit kids to msu from their.
DH.. No. All things equal it will be the same. We need better recruits to compete with Bama, LSU, etc. Therefore we need more elite talent and win some battles against those schools. All things equal.
Engie...Please tell me who can go in those areas and take kids from those schools. That person does not exist.
DH. Yes they do. Here's one guy.
engie. Let me change it. We nobody exist that can OUT RECRUIT them CONSISTENTLY.
DH.. Why are you changing subjects from your previous stance. The point is to land some on a regular basis, NOT OUT RECRUIT THEM YEAR IN AND OUT. Much like Baylor is doing.
The rest of what you posted is just garbage that has zero to do with what we were talking about.

Not if they have a stripper on their lap while flying.

One last thing Engie, I'm not going to argue the point past this. I'm done.
Hopefully Johnson will turn out to be a great recruiter and pull in a couple of 4 stars a year and a 5 every now and then.
It's all about MSU!

You really are stupid. And trying harder just makes it more obvious.
My post was obviously talking macro scale. Not micro. You say "well, Baylor got this guy -- so see, it can be done" as if to mean what, exactly? It had ZERO relevance to my point.
Fact is, EXACTLY as I said initially, Baylor, Tech, and OK State are all built on the types of players that WE need to be recruiting out of there -- the types of players we can get and build a foundation under. That's 3* guys that are rural, under-the-radar guys that aTm and Texas aren't after. The teams I listed were not built on the backs of 5* superstars that they stole from Texas. But on workhorses they found in small towns that Texas didn't know about. Spin the frick out of it -- I don't care. We can waste our life chasing one 5* that we probably won't get over there -- or we can chase 10 under the radar guys with the same measureables as the 5* that we scouted and found and get 5 of them. You tell me -- which is the better approach?

Of course, but there's not much of a gap between most s&c coaches these days if they give a shite.

Quite a few of us have had concerns on the "& conditioning" part of the job that has been done over the last couple of years. I wonder if that is really the S&C coaches responsibility.

It is their job, and we definitely weren't fully conditioned enough several times in the last couple years.

It should be easier now than than ever considering our depth, too.. I haven't heard much on our new drippy guy lately but maybe he'll have our line up to darkhorse standards before USMs 15 passenger vans roll into town.
