To be honest, I think Brandon did a good job covering MSU. By far, he was my favorite beat guy between him, Locke, and Stevens.
Maybe the C-L can afford someone who is worth a damn, but I highly doubt it.

The CL has become a spring board for our writers it seems, with the last 2 going on to bigger and better things relatively quickly.

Marcello was a huge douche. Glad he's gone. But he did a decent job of covering the boodogs. I'll give him decent. Considering it was his JOB.

Msu is currently 7-0... It's football season. We just played Bama and you pick up the paper on Sunday morning.
MSU improves to 7-1 in loss to Bama.
Yesterday, MSU played a very close game against the Tide. "We played hard, made some great plays, just fell a little short" said coach Mullen.
Recruits were impressed with the offense and the defense. Sources close to the top recruit in the nation says he wants to visit MSU and mullen and company are in the lead.
Upon hearing the news, several top rated recruits have contacted MSU and visits are being scheduled.
It seems as if Starkville will be the the hot spot destination for some of the best recruits.
