How do you think our SEC opponents stack up with their team from last year? First is offense. Second is defense.

For example: MSU - better, better - only concern is O-line.

LSU - worse, better - Will miss Mett and those receivers
TAMU - worse, same - New guy = JFF? No. + No Evans.
AU - same, better - Was pretty impressed with their Spring Game.
UK - better, better - Has to be.
Arky - better, better - Running game will be impressive.
Bama - worse, same - New QB, but great RB's. 5-star defense.
Vandy - worse, same - Same losses as LSU.
OM - better, better - More depth on both sides of the ball.

Excluding offensive line, this is accurate.

Arky has a stable of running backs, but I'm pretty sure their QB only has three fingers on his throwing hand.

Plus we get them in Starkville..

MSU - slightly better, better - slightly better on offense assuming Dak is healthy for the year.
LSU - worse, better
TAMU - a lot worse, better. Defense has to get better.
AU - better, better - easy favorite to win the West
UK - better, better - they will be improved...not sure by how much. may get to six wins
Arky - better, better - improved, but won't reach 6 wins
Bama - worse, better - step back but still good
Vandy - worse, worse - they are going to take a pretty significant step back this season
Ole Miss - slightly worse, better - o-line is too shaky for me to say they will be better on offense. Should have one of the best defenses in the SEC.

I thought the Freds and Wilson looked really good in the spring game. They make the difference. ...and oh yeah, no Perkins for Les to misuse. ...and oh yeah, no Les.

LSU - worse, better - Possibly miss QB xp

TAMU - worse, same - Miss multiple offensive talents. They simply will not have another Manziel, and aren't even close to compensating with the rest of their replacements.

AU - same, worse - Will struggle on defense but will fill holes, due to Malzhan, despite losing their main threat. I actually expect their biggest holes to be on defense due to Malzhan's aggressive play. High tempo offense requires a physical defensive line, I feel like they will miss this more than most realize.

UK - better, better - As opposed to?

Arky - better, better - Legitimate threat, will win more games than expected.

Bama - worse, same - Constantly reloading; however, will lack the game manager on offense that Saban has had to this point. I see Saban's system of a premier back and a secondary as hurting them. The team would benefit with Henry starting, he won't do this due to his commitment to their current RB system. Make's sense, because it is phenomenal when recruiting new talent. You play a year, back up another, and stay healthy. Move on to get paid.

Vandy - worse, worse - Likely back to the Vandy of old.

OM - same, same - Will miss their top WR threat more than most expect, don't see Treadwell as being the gamechanger that Moncrief was at times. Defense will remain similar, don't see Pruitt possibly getting better. Defensive line should improve. Could change to "better" depending on Denzel's performance in the fall. I really think this is a defining year for Freeze, they could be very solid and could just as easily vastly underperform. Exciting year for them.
