Back to recruiting talk, I apologize. I don't see us having a legit shot at flipping Lewis. Bama doesn't have a single ILB commit outside of Lewis. He would go in and automatically make an impact. That and Alabama's ability to pump guys into the NFL probably looks the most enticing to him. Anyone heard anything new on his commitment?

Leo is a goner. He'll be another Brookhaven to Bama bust.

No he fricking won't and you're as stupid as you sound if you believe that. He'll redshirt and sit the bench another year after that before he ever sees the field there.

Please try to keep it civil in here.

Good chance we get a commitment tonight from Chandler Jones a 6'4" 310 OL from Georgia. He has offers from Louisville, Michigan State, NC State, Purdue, Syracuse and others.

Yeah, I was just about to post about that. Looks like a solid get. The Louisville people have switched their picks to us.
Also in case anyone was wondering about whether Rashun Dixon wanted to play football:
Rashun Dixon @Sir_Peanut · 9h
#HailState I can't wait to get on the field, I'm ready to grind for #MYState

I wouldn't count on much from Dixon beyond being a special teams player

Looks like almost every single Louisvilke recruiting guy on 247 flipped their Crystal Ball pick on Chandler Jones to us.

I think he is just sayin, "he hasn't played football for a while. He might end up being good but don't get your hopes up."

We offered him out of high school and he's coming in as a grown arse man. I think he will excel wherever we put him.

If it's conditioning he needs, he has plenty time IMO.
Plus, If Al says "Don't get your hopes up", that means he'll be an all SEC RB or something by his Junior year.
I see the big picture here..

FIFY. I don't expect him to come in and be an all SEC player, but he will contribute.

Al has finally learned how to harness his great powers.

Honestly I like getting him in later. Your body matures a lot in the 18-22 period, he probably has the potential to be better now than at 18.

Some of the Louisville guys still think Jones to UL. It will be a nice surprise if he comes to us, but I think he announces for Louisville.
