State taking a commitment from Spivey is a gamble at best. If Ole Miss offers, he is gone.

Yeah those guys are hilarious.

It never fails, if a recruit goes on a visit to Ole Miss and has anything good to say afterward, they immediately CB him to Ole Miss. Linton said he text Coach Sallach as soon as he left to tell him he was still solid to the Bulldogs and not to worry about it.

I don't know what they're doing with Spivey. I know they have a small class but I still figured it would behoove them to recruit him. I'm sure they'll wait until he commits to us in the fall or something and then offer him the day after.

It's just going to be Spivey, Peters, Adams and Lewis falling in like dominoes.

Freeze goes back to being a camp counselor.

That was true on the front end -- probably not so much now. I guess for us to really know, he'll have to get an OM offer -- but slowplaying him has almost certainly done you no favors...

How is it a gamble to take a commitment from a player? Probably would be better to be like frick you dude we know you wanna be a Rabble later. We don't want your commitment you black bear wannabe. (I hope Hevesy doesn't read this. He may actually like this idea.)

I'm telling you. Spivey is the leader for the annual "OM has to flip an MSU commit no matter what"

obviously he has to commit to us for that to happen but you get what I mean

Maybe, maybe not.

It's going to be pretty hard for him if we clean up among his buddies down there...

I think Brown could be the Sunday starter.

One thing I will say about Brown that I like is that he doesn't seem to get rattled easily. He pitches out of jams pretty well.

If only we had a thread about recruiting AND a thread about baseball... sigh.
