He'll be a TE or a WR, one or the other. I'm not sure if he has the weight to go to TE, but I didn't think that about MoJo either. I wanna say he ran for 1500 this past season.

his team ran the triple option and he was a WR before moving to QB this year, I think most people realize he isn't going to play QB in the SEC but he is great for our depth, especially since he gets to start practicing with the team tomororw.

With him being a backup to a better QB in a HS system, seems hard to telll until they get here and start further development. Would we redshirt a "raw" guy like this? If so he may be a solid backup one day.. Hard to tell. He's the right size already. Add Balis and SEC deer antler spray and you just might have a big, smart TE on your hands as well.

I don't realize that and I don't think y'all are giving him enough credit. I do realize that he has a long way to go, but he's raw. Dude could end up being a bad arse qb for all we know.

Why are people assuming Staley is a bigger get than Fitzgerald? Sure, he's big and black but Fitz seems to have at least a comparable skill set.

Wow...racist

ETA: He's just a more polished qb. Fitzgerald could be a good receiver for us though.

Big and black are noted as recruiting points..

You really are a Ross Barnett descendant.

6'7", 235 lbs, cannon for an arm, nice smile, teammates love him, parent that gets between coaches and athlete, obvious off the field issues

Sure fire next Cam Newton

This class is currently 33rd in the nation and 12th out of 14 in the SEC. On paper this could be Dan's worst class yet, and that is saying something.

You're on to something. He very well could end up at TE/WR but ask anyone who saw him at BDC, he can throw the hell out of a football. Big time arm but everything he did mechanically was wrong. He threw it better than Staley at BDC.

I think Staley is the future and has program changing upside but we just don't know how they will develop. Any MSU (or OM fan for that matter) has seen the hype guy get beat out by a diamond far too many times for me to write off Fitz at this point.

To add, Fitz worked at QB on the camp circuit 2 years ago when he knew he was playing WR his jr year. He wasn't some spur of the moment plug in at QB. He was 100% QB the whole time but was too good an athlete to keep off the field. In summary, Mullen was high on him 2 years ago at QB I was told.

and our 2015 class is already shaping up nicely. I don't know what to think about this year, are we doing shitty b/c of staff turnover? Losing out on guys from places hard to get a State foot hold in?

We never should've offered him in the 1st place. Hopefully Big Cory is back on us.

Just curious what the reasons were. Cory still showing as solid verbal to UT on rivals. What's the percentage he flips back?

Paul Jones says there is over a 75% chance Corey flips.

IIRC, it was Barton Simmons that just wrote an article about Corey where he mentioned being worried about the fact they had so many DL commits. He goes on to say that depth chart will be a deciding factor. About 99% sure he's a bulldog on signing day.
