I was being sarcastic. Looks like Engie was making up stuff.

Ah ok...I was still half asleep when I read that.

"Kept job" = demoted to QB coach for Russell's senior year. He's done calling plays.
It's well, well known that he was job shopping last year and was scared to death that he was going to become the first guy that Mullen had straight up fired when he wasn't getting any bites. He instead accepted a demotion and got desperate on the recruiting trail--and he's killing it right now. TIFWIW.

Just admit you were wrong and I'll leave it alone.

I was wrong about Koenning being gone unfortunately. Still hoping he's gone next year although there is no info to support that at this point and my position is softening with what appears to be his new fire in recruiting. OK with him staying here as a QB coach -- just don't want him calling any more plays...
You ready to admit that you were wrong about Chris Jones? John Cohen? Butch Thompson?
Find it curious when people dig up old stuff that I'm wrong about even though I never bother bringing things back up when I'm right. Hence why I don't actually fit the Coonass dynamic...

Is that the guy Engie was talking about who ran for 1200 yards as a sophomore and then tore an ACL and missed his junior year?

I wouldnt look too deep into this tweet. The kid is very, VERY good but unless he visits Starkville he will likely be a Bama/ UGA battle.

QB Elijah Staley just decommitted from Vandy
He is a guy we were on pretty hard, and have continued to stay on since he committed, and I think we may have been to see him this week. He is a two sport guy (basketball), and from the article on 247 it seems that Vandy does not want him to play both, as they led him to believe before he committed. He also has a 3.0 GPA and apparently Vandy wants their guys to have at least a 3.3.

We must capitalize! Staley is a beast of an athlete. I really think he would be the best QB we have ever signed if we land him

Pretty solid get. At least I understand this one...not sure what the hell was up with the last commitment.
