Last week OM was projected as a 2 seed there and I thought the same thing

Not really sure...just googling him apparently he can get up to 93 which is impressive.

ETA: Also apparently he chose us over Florida, FSU and South Carolina. So he must be pretty solid.

Mississippi State landed left-handed pitcher Jared Padgett (Graceville, Fla./Graceville Vocational) on Tuesday afternoon when he committed to the Bulldogs over Florida, Florida State and South Carolina. Padgett, who stands 6-foot-4 and 198 pounds, threw 53.1 innings and struck out 125 on the season.

“The atmosphere at Mississippi State was unreal,” Padgett said. “I chose it because in life, our purpose is to glorify God in all our abilities and I felt that MSU would keep my head right physically and spiritually. The decision wasn’t my own but of God and I fully believe that he is leading me in the right direction."

Sure wish Cohen would find some guys with that kind of size that can rake!
Because 5'10" slap hitting singles hitters ain't getting shite done.

I'm not a baseball guy but I was under the impression that that was how UCLA beat y'all last year.

We have some nice young hitters. We will be better offensively next year.

I was thinking the same thing... I never believe a word of what baseball recruits say until they're on campus and enrolled in classes... Solid pickup by Cohen and Butch.

I'm really confused about why you continue to single him out after our whole team shits the bed like they did this weekend.

Sorry if I came across that way. I like Bracewell. My point at the beginning of the season was that if we are counting on Bracewell a lot, we won't be very good because he is simply going to get hit pretty often and that it will mean there were some promising looking guys that didn't come through for us. I like bracewell. I was just stroking my prediction ego because I was right. We needed cox, hudson, woodruff to step up over bracewell in order to be a good staff and have a great year. I was just sayin that he doesnt have great stuff imo and if we have to keep relying on him a ton like we have, it will be a long year, and it has been.

And Collins just got replaced by Randolph in the middle of an at-bat for another passed ball.. Go-ahead run on 2B.. And Randolph promptly lets one get by letting the runner get to 3B. Runners on 1st and 3rd, one out

I've come to eat my crow. Although ill stick to what I said about this team being uber talented, its evidently chalk full of mental midgets. Totally disappointing year.
