I saw that an update about Gray was posted on 247 around an hour ago. I am assuming this means that he got his ACT up?

I agree. The national guys are really high on him, and it seems he's flew under the radar due to his grades. Between now and August the ACT should be offered at least 2 or 3 more times eh?

Where are you getting this info? I haven't seen it anywhere yet. Is Deshea even back in Starkville yet? Has he passed the test where he certified to recruit?

I didn't say Townsend was there. To be honest, I don't know if he is or is not. Just that there is an in home visit.

Either way, let us hope that having Townsend makes a difference. Not just with Conner, but with the Alexander twins, Ramsey and more.

Barton Simmons of 24/7 on Donald Gray

I'm getting killed on twitter by Ole Miss fans and others because I think that Donald Gray is in the conversation for the best player in the state of Tennessee. I'm sticking by my guns. People that disagree have never seen him play in person. Period.

Ask any coach, opposing player or even fan in the city of Memphis and if they've seen Donald Gray in person, they are wowed and rave about him.

The only reason he didn't have his pick of colleges is because he has had to get academics ironed out. That looks like it's likely going to get worked out (Not done deal yet, but very doable). So why is he a two-star on scout? 1.) i guarantee you they've never seen him in person. They have no one that consistently covers memphis and they had no one at the Memphis Nike Camp where he was my top performer. 2.) No schools have him atop their board so because of academics so there's no fan pressure bringing him to their attention.

We made him a 4-star in August, knowing full well his academic situation and his limited legitimate college interest. We don't always do that with guys like him, but that's how much we liked him.

This kid is a difference maker and he's a guy you should be excited about. After seeing him in a jamboree in August, I remember texting Gerry Hamilton saying exactly "Donald Gray may be the best player in Tennessee". My opinion hasn't changed.

Tremendous pickup.

Assuming we get him in, I fully expect him to be a better college player than Kailo Moore. Bookmark it and let me know when/if I am wrong...

Irvin Sills.. This is being reported... Not first hand and not sure if others have reported it..

"If I don't get in contact with Clemson or Washington, then Miss State is it."

He said he doesn't have an offer from Washington

"Who comes after me first..."

Ststed that he knows we are losing "5 DBs" and 2 to the NFL and a new DB coach from the NFL. His visit is this weekend.

My personal opinion is we only take him if we don't get the Alexanders and or only Ramsey.
