We tend to give ourselves a chance to win. It feels like he is in complete control of the game defensively. And offensively he competes. He can bunt, and has good at bats. I don’t understand the love for Neal. Seems like he has no clutch gene and strikes out a ton. Give me Milazzo the rest of the year and see what happens.

Milazzo is the best catcher on this team and it's not even close. Just spell Milazzo to give him a rest with Travinski because he is a better hitter. I don't like Travinski behind the plate either. His body language is terrible and it rubs off on the pitching.

Neal has a lot higher ceiling and can be very good if he ever figures it out. That said, we are in a position where there is zero room for error so I’d ride with Milazzo as much as possible. You can put Neal in late in games that we are comfortably ahead and during midweek games for more experience. “When Milazzo plays we win.”

Neal has a shoulder injury. Milazzo will be playing more.

Because the pitching gets better. They are not worried about balls getting past Milazzo.

Milazzo receives the ball better. He helps the struggling pitching staff more, especially with poor SEC umpires.

the only 2 runs LSU gave up yesterday where after Milazzo let the ball get by him lol

It has become pretty routine dating back to last year that this happens.

Pretty sure this is the part that matters.

And it's still a fraction of the amount of balls that get by Neal. And he can get on base against SEC teams.

I guess he let Neal borrow his "it factor" that game.

I’m starting to think Lester has a text notification anytime the phrase “Milazzo” pops up so he can come in and spew his bullshite about a kid

He is all over this board whenever he sees something that can prove his point, but is nowhere to be found when something that goes against it happens. He is never wrong.

Nah it’s just crazy how many players get completely trashed when they make a mistake but when milazzo does, he’s great at defense & the only reason the team wins

And it’s the medias fault because most of y’all eulll just repeat what they say, and if you say something for 5 years it just be true

I almost passed out this morning when Musso finally admitted milazzo has not been an upgrade

Like when you trash Pearson or Milam but the praise Braswell for his defensive play?

"Milam is scared, Braswell has been fine"

Milam looks like a little leaguer

Braswell is a dude on defense

Pearson is so mid

LMAO. Alex has had his share this year, but saying it is routine is pretty silly.

No, it’s definitely been pretty regular. He almost cost them a CWS game vs FL which they thankfully ended up winning

Milazzo has one passed ball this year. He is not responsible for every wild pitch as much as all of us want to put it on the catcher. Saying it is pretty regular is a joke of a statement.

Scoring errors is arbitrary. Really good defensive catchers save pitcher’s from WP’s. And he doesn’t really do that.

He did when the staff had average to below average velocity & staff back at the end of the PM era and 1st year with Jay.

You don’t see the difference in the way you & I criticize players, do you ?

Find posts where I say never:

“Never should play again”
“Never shouid bay leadoff again”
“Never should play a certain position again”

Ya, those don’t exist.

Sadly that is the norm for you. That is not how I consume ball or see the game
