I have a nephew who attends Murray State and he informed that former UK player Qua Huzzie from LaGrange, Georgia is a Senior Linebacker for the Racers this season. I remember Joker being high on him here a few seasons ago. It got me to wondering where some of our former Cats have wound up now. Does anyone here know where any other former Cats are playing this season?

I will also add where some of the former coaching staff is now.

Joker Phillips-Florida WR Coach
Rick Minter-Eagles (NFL) LB Coach
Randy Sanders-Florida St QB Coach
Pat Washington-Missouri WR Coach
Mike Summers-Western Ky OL Coach
Greg Nord-?????
Mike Cassity-Western Ky DB Coach
Tee Martin-USC WR Coach
Steve Brown-Titans (NFL) DB Coach

There may be more, but these were the only ones I could remember off hand

I'm pretty sure the Hefty Lefty is still coaching with Ft. Thomas-Highlands.

Nermin Delic and Shawn Blaylock are with Georgia State now. They're not the first football Cats to transfer there.

Donald Russell and Alex Smith transferred there a couple of years ago, but they're gone now.

Yeah, Former UK Head Coach Bill Curry use to be the Head Coach at Georgia State, but not sure how long he has been gone. That is the only UK connection I could think of. I'm pretty sure Georgia State is in Atlanta and Curry was Georgia Tech's Head Coach years ago.

He just retired from Georgia State after last season.

Yes, Georgia State is in Atlanta. It's a ten minute MARTA ride from where I live. Tech is within walking distance.

I don't know how strong the Curry name is in Georgia. It says on his wiki page that Bill Curry was born in College Park, Georgia and played Center for Georgia Tech and after 9 years in the NFL, he returned to Georgia Tech as an asst coach and eventually became head coach before moving on to Alabama and then Kentucky and finally, returning to coach at Georgia State after several years in the ESPN broadcasting booth.

No. That means missing SEC games. I don't miss SEC games. Been to Tech basketball and baseball games though.

Country cooking isn't really my thing. Too unhealthy... and I hate veggies. Don't point out how silly that sounds. I know.
