So Kentucky fans, now that the dust has mostly settled (still waiting on the OC), I know a lot of us on TD wanted Sonny Dykes.
If you were in that group, are you happy with our hire or disappointed?
I've made it quite known that I wanted a defensive guy, and that is what we have. I expect the offense to be competent, but I expect our defense to be slightly above average in a year or two, which I think ultimately will translate to more wins.

I'm pretty happy with the quality of the hire. I wanted Dykes but I was never against hiring a defensive HC if it was someone who could dip into places like Florida, Ohio, and Georgia to bring in quality players to fill schemes.
I'm anxious to see who he hires as OC.
My biggest concern is can he run a program. Time will tell if hiring someone without HC experience will pan out though.

You also think Joker was a complete waste as a coordinator and WR coach.
So forgive me for not exactly valuing your opinion on this one.
And I would like to have Brown but I think he takes a job like Southern Miss instead as HC.

What makes you think that I didn't like Joker as a WR/Coordinator at Kentucky? That was his bread and butter and he did a great job for us at it.
I have never wanted him as our head coach tough. The reason I do not want brown though is because of the style of offense that he runs. I would rather have a pro set and get a big strong running back and run the ball.

What made them think he could do it as a H.C.? How will the players even respect him when they go in and stifle Kentucky's offense? It's a shame that we've had to deal with this fool for so long. And then you go on to reference a coaching record that goes back to 2003 even though he was only HC for a few years. You certainly insinuate that we weren't the better for having him on staff as a OC or WR coach.
