Why can I just not post on certain threads sometimes?

Every time I try and post in this thread I get a stop sign.

Every. Single. Time.

It's a damn conspiracy I tell ya

Took me a second to figure out what you meant but yea I see it now, weird. It must break the boards code or something.

Had the same problem for the same reason you did. It took me awhile to figure it when I did the same on the LSU board. It was right around the time when posters were suggesting it should be a closed board and after doing what you did, but with different text I was thinking, Damn they finally did it.

I think it has to do with how different systems interpret different types of code

some use <
some use [

and sometimes when you use the other type it craps out or redirects.

Yup.

I've done this a few times and then suddenly realized "Well, duh, it thinks I'm referring to an invalid hypertag".

Use parentheses instead and you should be fine.

If you put something between less than and greater than signs the server will interpretate it as HTML which can be used for an attack. This baord takes the reasonable precaution of blocking any post that embeds something in those.

You techno neophytes.
