Why are posts anchored?

I don't post often but I posted something the other day, basically being critical of these ridiculous prediction posts that have a 1% chance of happening (like Mississippi State upsetting LSU) as "look at me" threads that just seem like a waste of time...and it was immediately anchored. What rule did I break that got it anchored? What other rules do I need to be cognizant of? This board seems to operate without a whole lot of mod interference which is one of the things I like about it...people insult each other all the time, and are pretty free to write whatever dumb shite pops into their skulls... what am I missing?

Way too many words for the admins to read and comprehend, so they delete and anchor threads like that just in case.
