Why are posts anchored?

I don't post often but I posted something the other day, basically being critical of these ridiculous prediction posts that have a 1% chance of happening (like Mississippi State upsetting LSU) as "look at me" threads that just seem like a waste of time...and it was immediately anchored. What rule did I break that got it anchored? What other rules do I need to be cognizant of? This board seems to operate without a whole lot of mod interference which is one of the things I like about it...people insult each other all the time, and are pretty free to write whatever dumb shite pops into their skulls... what am I missing?

Way too many words for the admins to read and comprehend, so they delete and anchor threads like that just in case.

Because it is the only way that Vanderbilt gets any respect on this board—anchor down.
