Is there a Private Messaging Feature?

If so, how do you use it?
And another question, if a poster is banned, can you see how long you are banned for when trying to log in? Or is it like "surprise motherfricker, you're unbanned" after a month or two? And if you're banned, can you still read the boards?

i had short ban right before season- less than a week i think. it was purely a misunderstanding, i posted a pic i shouldn't have but no malice or anything too horrible. so, iow, i can answer a few of these.

Start a thread witht the recipient of the PM in brackets for the thread title. Like this:
[atlgator]
Then type the PM in the body of the text field.
[atlgator]

Why don't y'all just click the PM tab next to the user name on the premium board? It's a lot simpler to just log on to premium and do all of your pm'ing from the pay side.

What do you mean? Starting a thread with a PM vs. PM within a thread?
Either way, the PM will go to whoever you send it to and since it's a PM, it does not show up.
But I agree with Sarge...it's a lot better and easier to just join the premium site.
I understand they're going to begin using something similar to an instant messaging feature as well.
Have the rest of y'all heard anything about the IM feature and when it might be available? It's not gonna cost any more than what we pay for premium now, is it?
