I wonder where those numbers come from as some stuff isn't available publicly. Players definitely got way over 7 million at UF from NIL. Is that from school revenues or something? I have heard our NIL total is around # 10 though.

It’s average over the years since
NIL started.
NIL started.

Nothing suggests this other than where he’s coached
Totally different personalities and I’m sure the in game decisions won’t be the same and I never saw Tulane with 10 on the field for a PAT
So there’s that lol

-go 5-1 at home. Should be doable. Beat FAU, Campbell, South Carolina, Ole Miss (LK gone), Vandy (Pavia gone). Lose to Oklahoma
-go 2-3 away. Should be doable. Beat FSU (will have interim coach), beat UK (new coach). Losses at Texas, Auburn, Mizzou.
-loss to UGA
Puts us at 7-5. This will be one of our easiest schedules in several years.
Need to do whatever it takes to keep Baugh, D Wilson, VB3, and Woods.

Agreed..it is very insane.

0 chance that happens
We will get skull fricked by Uga, okie, Auburn, Misery, and Texas
Lose a close game to USC -E, and Tucky
I see a 4 and 8 season staring us right in the kisser
Not sure if Florida can keep any of those players
Baugh will be at OSU or Alabama next year , so will D Wilson, unless the NIL money is too much to pass up at LSU

Yes but if lsu is putting 25 mil into nil and we're only putting a few million then does our administrator really even care about football

Ti.e to get back k to the gator standard 6 and 6 does not cut it we need 10 or 11 wins at the least

Pray..he has a ton to fix so know next year will most likely be brutal but Napier left a huge mess for him to clean up.

Folks really need to learn how NIL works in the clearinghouse era.
LSU can promise all they want, but it has to clear. There is already one SEC school in the red this year because they can't get cleared to pay out all of the NIL money by the current NIL Go clearinghouse, and it's going to get worse next year, so they are just having to eat it. It gets worse next year when they can't even do that.
Even with a bagman, teams can't shift $25 million around under the table without it getting noticed.
The game is showing how much NIL a program has on paper and hoping fans and players alike don't understand that it's all just potential. They can't spend a penny of it without it clearing. The example I cited above is already one showing how it's affecting things. I suspect some of these flips we're seeing are players realizing these NIL warchests schools have on paper are just hypothetical until it gets approved by NIL Go, which is showing itself to definitely not be a rubber stamp. If you're getting paid $1 million in endorsement money, there has to be proof that the value of your brand and the amount of work your doing for that $1 million matches to what the market actually bears.
Suffice to say, it would be extremely rare for a CFB player, especially for one coming in from high school, to have enough brand equity to be worth $1 million advertising partnerships without a level of work commitments that would be detrimental to their being a college athlete.
All this "We got $25 million to buy everyone, baws!" is just PR spin that knuckle dragging dipshits who haven't read up on any of this stuff are spewing. They may have really have that much money to spend if allowed, but justifying spending all of it is already difficult.

You never know. If we get the QB position fixed with a lot of the SEC being a mess now maybe it can be a decent season. 9 SEC games is brutal though even though we lucked out some getting SC and KY for 2 of the 3 permanent opponents.

I thought starting in 2026 teams can spend up to 20 million directly from football revenues on NIL if they want. Not sure the big boosters LSU has but they spent a lot in the last portal window. We spent about the least in the portal of all power 4 teams but did spend quite a bit retaining players.
