You find it odd that people like to talk football outside of the main team they follow and not want it to turn into a shitshow like it would on the Rant?

You're not exactly focused on football here since you ignored my post and question, so I have to wonder what your real goal is by coming to the Florida board.

Which question? I didn’t see where you posed a question to me.

Sorry, I thought only one Georgia fan was skulking around our board, apparently you're not the only insecure one here.

Do you have an official list of just how many players left?

LINK Here is the roster sorted by seniors at the top. Of the seniors, I'd say roughly 10 will leave an impact with them not being here anymore. Of the juniors we lose Roquan and TThompson early, Roquan's departure can't be understated, Thompson's won't matter all that much.

Keeping with Hinesville's response, I don't see what it's such an issue that we look at other boards as long as it's civil and respectful (which we both have been to my knowledge). I browse the team boards of every team we play the next year, and have since team boards were created. I like to see the mindset of other teams' fans without the idiocy of the rant. How exactly does that make us insecure?

Anyone can look at other team's boards but for some reason the Gator board is one of the only boards that approve other team's fans to post on it.

1) Sounds like your issue is with your board moderators, since they are the ones approving

2) You are absolutely not the only board that allows outsiders. In fact, the AU board is the ONLY one that doesn't allow any outsiders in. All other team boards allow pretty much anyone in.

this is easily correctable.but seeing as to how there are only a handful of other fans that actually care to post here.

IMO the team boards are for fans of that team, If i want to have a discussion with leg humpers, hillbillys, semiholes and pussycats, I will do it on the rant.

They add nothing to the conversation in regard to Gator sports, just trolls.

Coming to defend your team/coach on another team's board is the definition of insecurity. It's all cool that you want to discuss your team, but you guys didn't want to discuss shite 2006 - 2016.

It all depends on QB play. If UF has bad QB play again 6-6 wouldn't shock me. Especially with the change in schemes.

I think 8-4 is saying QB play is mediocre in which case UF just out talents teams and then loses to everyone with the same or more talent.

I feel if we're really feeling like an 8 win team with the ease of schedule we have next year, then we really have no faith in Mullen as an HC. I know it seems extreme, but looking at last year -- we could have won eight games easy. Even against Michigan, we were a hold away from taking a double digit lead into halftime. Northern Colorado would have been a win. We won against Kentucky and Tennessee by very close margins that would have probably been much larger with Del Rio at Quarterback. We lost to LSU and A&M by a combined three points -- without half of our starting roster on both offense and defense. We got blown out when McElwain was fired by two teams and Muschamp needed a miracle to beat us with, at that point, almost every upperclass starter and their replacements either suspended or hurt by one possession(edit) at home. If you take away Franks' turnovers, Florida State loses the last game of the season.

To sum this up: Mullen got back the most important suspended players (LBs and RB), added on serious depth to WR, has an entire off-season to get a quarterback up to speed, returns every starter at every position offense (outside of TE and one Lineman, but I think Lewis would be considered TE #1 sometimes), returns 8/9 starters on defense depending on the package and I mean...I know we have some serious PTSD, but if McElwain can win ten games with no quarterback, no offensive line and no kicker, there should be no reason that Mullen who is returning almost an entire team plus some backups shouldn't be successful outside of his incapacity to coach. I know it seems harsh and negative, but returning all of that talent and expecting us to have a mediocre season in a terrible SEC East with a very weak OOC (TWO FCS teams and Colorado State) while having three "tune up" games in the beginning of the year? Mullen has to get it done.

I like what I saw today just but it is just spring ball and we still have an off season and will one of these qb's be the leader and get guys together to watch tape go over plays etc.

Hopefully those guys that had there season taken away last year that are back with the team will lead these younger guys and help them stay away from trouble

Honestly I hope Frank's wins the job and gets some redemption for his self after the terrible coaching he received last year and would be a great comeback story this guy could have left and went somewhere else and cried and whined about his experience at Florida instead he took all the criticism and negativity owned up to it and came back. I really hope he does well.

He doesn't seem to want it very much because he doesn't seem open to learning.

Over this Spring we can make two conclusions:

He knows he's bad but hasn't sought help around campus or otherwise -- he hasn't attended any special football camps and thinks he's going to keep playing like he did in high school. No reads, just pop out of the pocket, wait for the play to break down and heave it and hope.

The second is that he has sought help but still looks to be the same kind of guy. The defense was really docile, and that was forced by the coaches to get the score up and to have fun which I understand. Trask faced about as close to the first string defense pretty well, and he always looks poised and relaxed when he plays. Which is what we need, we need a guy like that.

I just don't understand why people are lobbying so hard for Franks, I feel like he's got his shot and he hasn't shown me enough to consider giving him another. I hope we have a real #1 QB who starts taking the majority of the reps soon, whether it be Emory or Trask.
