Wally played for Charlie back in ‘79 when they went 0-10-1. Apparently, Charlie went through the same thing Billy is now. Here’s an interview on Twitter.

Spot on, patience will be rewarded. Locker room full of bad apples. Mullen’s boys.

Lots of bad apples and lots of transition in the sport as a whole.
Will take time to establish a solid foundation and approach to this chaos moving forward.
This program has been on the ropes for a while, which was evident to me when Jim McElwain was replaced by Dan Mullen.

I'm still pretty critical of Stricklin for that one, especially if Napier and Golden don't end up panning out.

So are we as Gator fans going to be patient enough to wait for the results or will we as Gators fans be calling for Napier’s head next year while bashing the program, coaches, admin? I’m 66 so I want it turned around as fast as possible, but patience is needed.

I am scared he won't make it but the big boosters will be to blame mostly.
Napier has a top 5 class for sure if not for us not keeping up there. If we don't at least start playing the portal game he isn't going to last though.

Tough to say. How can we as fans blame Napier for getting kids committed and signed, but as soon as the NIL dudes walk in, they duck everything up. Are we to expect Napier be the one to sign the checks?
If he resigned because of the lack of focus and commitment from the administration, I wouldn’t blame him. I’d be disappointed if we fired him because of recruiting and lack of results on the field.
