Vegas Odds on QB battle

Here is the Vegas odds on who will start week 1 . It’s on the news feed. Vegas doesn’t have any respect for Trask winning the QB battle.
Florida starting quarterback Week 1 of 2018 regular season:
Feleipe Franks +105
Emory Jones +130
Kyle Trask +820
Jake Allen +1740

It's because odds aren't about predicting winners as much as they are about getting "play". These will change drastically by September 1st because basically: Most people think Franks will start, so most people put their money on him so Vegas wants to protect themselves.
However, you can see how silly the odds are based on several outside factors:
Allen isn't at Florida anymore.
Mullen has never started a Freshman before at QB, even in the worst times.
Those two being where they are mean people are literally throwing away money -- and this will change a lot when Trask starts to get more play, and especially if he gets a lot more money. The + means for every 100 dollars you post, you will get the +.

If I had money I would definitely look to getting some play on Trask, especially since we still have an entire Fall Camp to go through.

I doubt the veracity of it from the onset, but damn that'd be an easy bet to take. 100 isn't a lot of money but you could get a nice little payout from almost nothing.

Second: Yes. But I mean, any line like that is great -- however, I don't think this line is correct. We may not have a starter at all at QB, and could easily play all three.
But these move with money. So if all of us jumped on that Trask line they would adjust it, and it could even adjust so far as to put him in the lead. So this is not "this player has much better odds to win", this is just where the money is right now.

This is about who will start the first game . Only one QB can start and take the snap from the center. You should be putting atleast a grand on your boy Trask with the odds you get. Vegas clearly doesn’t fell like Trask has much of a chance to start . They will loose a lot of money if people like you bet on Trask and turn out to actually be right .

Is it take the first snap or who is NAMED as the starter? If I were a betting man I'd have no problem throwing some money at that line. Franks would need to make unbelievable progress over the dead period and into the Fall Camp imo.
I still think they should have made this for who starts in game 4 - 6 just to make it interesting.

I'm totally fine with Mullen starting Trask and seeing what happens.
Emory is not ready physically and I really, really, really do not want to watch another season of Franks running around in circles for 20 yards and stepping out of bounds without getting rid of the ball.

Don’t act like you know anything about gambling. If you gambled then you would be living under a bridge as much as you are wrong . Vegas has to have a opening line to start with. This appears to be the opening line . The lines will change if people like you who think Trask will start actually bet on him .
I will make you a ban bet . If Franks starts you leave the Florida board if Trask starts the first game then I will leave .

And don't worry, I've said my piece. Even when Vegas opens, they are still looking for play. Play makes money.
Of course, this tj, thinking he's so brilliant with betting doesn't seem to have noticed that Jake Allen is part of the betting line -- so I'm going to go ahead and say that this particulary bookie doesn't know much about the school, the QB situation nor the surrounding circumstances since Jake Allen isn't even on the fricking team.
