Zach Abolverd who covers the Gators is reporting Murphy missed practice on Thursday due to an injury from the LSU but WILL play Saturday. If he goes down in the game who would be the QB for the Gators?

He said that he practiced on Thursday, not earlier in the week.

I'm assuming Morninwhig would back him up.

FWIW, Muschamp did say players had the usual bumps and bruises after the LSU game, and he didn't mention anyone.

I think this is a minor concern.

Obviously something to watch if a Mizzou player gets him and Murphy lands on the ground bum shoulder first.

Yeah the more I read about it the more it seems like it was just minor bumps and it was overblown. Guy seems to be a good talent. Dual threat QB's give Mizzou fits.

But will he be 100 percent? We now see the difference between an unhealthy and healthy James Franklin.

It can make a world of a difference.

I think there will be fewer designed runs if anything.

He might be running for his life anyway because of our OLine.

We know your pain. Hope he gets back to 100%, right after our game.

Seriously though, it sucks to have a QB with an injured shoulder. Even if they're good enough to play, it's not the same as having them healthy.

Is TM's injury upper body or lower? If he re-injures it during the game to the point where he can no longer play, do y'all feel comfortable putting Driskel in?

Good luck to both teams. Truly 2 of the best fanbases on this site

Driskel is out for the year.

If Murphy gets hurt, UF is fricked.

Supposedly, its the shoulder. But again, nothing was reported during the week, and only one reporter actually confirmed that he banged it up against LSU.

If I had to guess when it happened, I'd say the 2nd 4th down conversion on UF's last offensive possession.

He didn't get hit, but he was holding his right arm and grimacing quite a bit.

I think he might've banged it on a helmet of a LSU player.
