I hope the plan takes off soon. Its a little concerning losing all those blue chippers. The top coaches usually have decent transitional classes on paper at least showing strong recruiting skills before having the real good 2nd class. Even Mullen closed pretty good on ESD.

Even if they aren't great our leading tackler and leading receiver have both put their names in the portal. We are lacking at both positions also.

I just think it’s funny how the same ppl who were ready to scrap the season after the 2nd loss n start AR so he could learn on the job and endure his ups n downs so he’d be ready next year are the same ppl flipping out now over a few guys leaving.

I hate this narrative, you can be concerned about losing our most experienced and productive wr and lb without “flipping out”
Wr I think they’ll be fine although cope was easily the most dynamic on the team but lb they aren’t exactly plug and play right now and so far the portal isn’t exactly raining sec caliber lb. So concerned? Yes. Flipping out? Idk I guess I’ve seen a few but for most of the rest of us just curious and concerned.
Hopefully the coaching is such an upgrade we won’t notice their absence much but it would have been nice to have 2 players like that receive high quality coaching.

We're not starting "Tweeners" at LB anymore. Thats why they left and why our LB decommitted today.

Again no one is flipping out but Jesus wouldn’t it have been nice to have him even just for depth? I love how after every new coach the same people are like oh so amazing best coach ever trust everything he does lol and any comment that is even the least bit negative is like… stop freaking out. Dumb.

Hence the reason he's not coming? No kid is going to come here to be "depth" as long as he has offers to possibly start elsewhere where he's a better fit for their defense.

And who exactly were we expecting to start over him at olb? Guy has pretty good career numbers and oh led the defense in tackles last year.

Next season isn’t looking much better than this one if we lose a lot of depth. We have to keep that in mind when judging Nape’s outlook.
