We have zero playmakers leftover from the prior staff.
Look at every position group n tell me a guy leftover by him who’s gonna be a high pick in the pros.
We got a long rebuild ahead, boys. Prepare yourselves now.

I'm for playing all the young guys if we are going to be this historically bad on defense then let's play all the freshman znd red shirt freshman and let them take there lumps now and get ready for next year.

I agree. It's a rebuilding year so look to the future with every position, including qb.

I agree with you on the defensive lack of talent but it is also Scheme as well and watching tape and getting better.
Unfortunately none of that is happening the Scheme is a joke and it seems these players are getting no coaching or watching any film during the week.
It almost as if Toney has the same game plan every week.
Let's make this mediocre QB look like a Heisman candidate and will leave the field and play the same game plan next week until it works.
I'm very frustrated that this defense gets worse YES WORSE every Fricking week. What other team can say that but Florida. I Unfortunately don't see a game on the rest of the schedule I can put a W by and feel comfortable about it. Even Vandy has a duel threat QB so im not sure how good this defense will make him look so not putting a W there and Travis @ FSU may win the Heisman against us he will have a career day against t is defense he him self will have 200 yards rushing and over 300 passing.

I cant really blame the coaches, they gotta play the hand theyre dealt, but we have 3-4 names in our back 7 who I wouldnt trust in coverage if my life depended on it.
Every week we say the same names, Burney, Miller, Dean ect in pass coverage. As a DC only so much you can do when you have that many weak links
Hell, Hill and Marshall had terrible games lastnight and our passrush was nonexistent. Just a bad unit.

And that's just 10 guys. I'm not expecting the 85 Bears. But, we should expect a functional at minimum a competent defense.

Third down conversion percentage, 125th in the country. LINK.
Rushing defense we rank 110th in the country. LINK.
With the amount of talent on this team, there is no way Florida should rank in the bottom third in any defensive category. And if you believe that, you're not being realistic. Florida is ranked 12th in the country in the team talent composite. Tennessee is 19th. LINK
This defensive coaching staff is not getting the job done, just like the last one.
Ask yourselves this. Is there any other defense in the bottom third of these defensive rankings. That start three, 5 stars on defense? The answer is NO!

I don't have time to go through the entire roster. I posted factual stats.
Everyone of us know Dean (a 4star btw) he should be on the bench. But he keeps getting put back on the field. Another indicator that this coaching staff sucks.

Well most players Billy brought in via the portal and his first class are already seeing significant playing time. What does that tell you?

That's my point. They're not being developed, as players.
We have the 12th best roster in cfb. But, the 99th ranked defense
Btw, I'm not blaming the current staff for this, entirely . But, this staff is not getting the job done.
