We haven't been able to send secret agent McEars or Champ back into the Gator fold yet... I don't think we're to blame... But I can get behind a Norvell hire... That's my kind of Gator coach.

It'd be the hire for all the SEC. It's literally like Butch Jones but at Florida. If we did this...man, we might be in worse shape than Tennessee.

I think we need a guy with some decent experience. To get a guy with P5 experience we will take on baggage or spend a lot.

1.Frost - he is young , knows offense and he wants easy recruiting.
1B. Kelly- we have the instate talent for his offense and recruiting would be easier here then almost any college. The fear of him wanting to go back to NFL puts him at 2.
3. Kiffin - he is a great offensive mind and has been the head coach at 2 big P5 schools. He has proven that he can make the offense work around the players on the roster. I think Kiffin would take the job in a heartbeat.

4. Bob Stoops - he has coach here before and he is a proven head coach . I think he is the most likely hire .

4B. Bobby Petrino- the guy knows offense and he has been at multiple P5 programs . He is a little risky but we know the offense will get improved ASAP.

4C. Leach - Same as Petrino minus the SEC experience.

All of these guys would make excited about the future . I think I am forgetting someone . Fuente would be #1 but with a 15 million dollar buyout, he is not realistic.

You can just tell Frost has that "It" factor.

Just no more fricking pro-style offenses.

Enough of that shite.

UF is meant to run a spread.

All I know is that if it's Norvell, we're fricked. The future classes are fricked, our recruiting is fricked for the next few years.

I don't think it would be that bad. I'm not advocating for Norvell, but that is selling him a bit short. He has a strong reputation as a recruiter and offensive mind, but it would no doubt be a risk and would be met with a lot of questions.

It is that bad.

We're taking the HC from Memphis -- out of state, not even really on the radar, in lieu of a guy from Florida. In state, already knows how the circuit runs, has an offense we all like.

If we're taking risks, go the frick for Frost.

If we're going for homeruns, go for Stoops and Kelly.

If we're going for reasonable but great, Mullen and Strong.

Every single one of those coaches should give us a decided no before we take another up and coming HC.

Frost and Norvell are basically the same but I would want Frost more.

Again, I'm not advocating for him and agree he's among the riskiest, just pointing out that there are some things to like about him and I don't think he would be as bad as suggested. I'm all in on Frost right now.

Have a friend who played for UF when I was in school. Frost isn't high on the list because of experience apparently

Which means:

Stoops, Leach, Strong, Mullen, Kelly. Someone like that.

Norvell would be an incredibly disappointing hire.

I'd be mighty dissatisfied with Norvell as well.

Perhaps Stricklin really did want Mac out bad enough to stretch the firing-for-cause to the limit in order to make something happen this semester. If he's going to be that aggressive in getting rid of someone, I'd hope he'd be equally aggressive in getting a name here.

And I say stretched to the limit because I've been involved with something where university counsel intervened in the past. It's anything but a dickslinging process. You have attorneys and actuaries who say "If we do A, this is the probability of the result, this is what way stand to save, and this is what we stand to lose." They go through each scenario and decide which is the most cost-effective way to do the least amount of damage to the university.

The delicacy with which this is still being handled could indicate that the legal side of this equation is telling the admin that this may very well not be a slam dunk and they should be prepared for having to pay the full buyout if Mac were to go to court.

So why go through all of that to hire a guy in his second year at Memphis who may be really good or may just be on cruise control managing what Fuente built there?

i think norvell may be somehow connected with the "leaker" or the "leaker" wants to be connected with norvell.

norvell being mentioned in the same breath as some of the other candidates is out of place.

I would take Brohm over Norvell . Norvell followed Fuente at Memphis. Brohm has made Purdue look better after doing good at western Kentucky.
