He isn't Jeremy Foley...who loved the Gators and always was on the sidelines out of the way during home games especially and he appears to be more "buttoned up", maybe he has changed some since those interviews.

hope that at the least he's professional about hiring the best coach and likes to win.

I've been very impressed with Stricklin in both his interviews and my times speaking with him. Impressive vision for the program and it is really evident behind the scenes where he has been fundraising like a mad man.

It's weird having an AD from where I'm from. Listening to him is oddly familiar.

he mentioned the word integrity on purpose too much for me to think he'll hire kelly, kiffin or petrino. when a buzzword is scripted into anything like that it tells us a bit about direction.
sounds like mullen, frost or campbell.

I could live with any of those.

Well today he was more loose and had shirt unbuttoned for visual.....but I could see where he could be hard to have as a boss.
Expect any new coach to have Stricklin up his arse for quite a while...unless its his dear buddy Dan of course.
We cannot afford to fire another coach in 3-4 yrs...we will never be able to get top talent. I especially didn't care for Stricklins explanation of salaries...translated to me it means "we are going to be cheap bastards". UF owes Muschamp 1.5 million real soon and then Macs buyout. Then a new HC will probably have a buyout...expect rummage sales at games in the near future to raise funs, probably could pick up a Heisman or NC trophy pretty cheap

I have friends who've worked with Stricklin. He's only hard to work for if you suck at your job.

Stricklin made some pretty damning statements about Mac. Saying Mac hasn't met with the team but the door is still open. Being sure that we knew this was a mutual split. I think Mac wanted out at the beginning of the season. When asked about why he said it was more than just wins and losses. You could tell he had to bite his tongue.

Best comment he made, and the entire SEC should take note, is that we currently dominate every other sport in the conference. There’s no reason why the football team can’t do the same given it’s history. I love this guy so far.

Make UF football fun again

We have been great at all sports and owe thanks to Foley for his vision...we spank the SEC in all kinds of sports, especially womens.
No reason to think we cant get football to succeed like baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, etc etc.
But we need deep pockets to help us continue with all these salary buyouts and future buyout of the new HCs contract perhaps. Lotta $$$$

the last two coaching hires haven't paid off for sure.
gotta get this one right.
i still think in some weird bizzaro way that we've been punished for not hiring strong after meyer left. turns out we may as well have. i know they wanted mullen, but he wouldn't come here. think the same thing happens again. he has it too good at state. now that he's starting to attract elite11 type qbs i think the rest will soon follow. he could be that programs all time great coach. just about is already.
i think stricklin will go after frost and if frost chooses nebraska (which i doubt), then stricklin will go after campbell.

Honestly, the more I read the more I think it's going to be Mullen. From his response on the presser and even the ''we're not going to contact coaches who are currently coaching on teams'' -- I think they either A. Already have a yes from Mullen or B. They already have a yes from someone else/know who they want and they said yes.
I see it being Mullen right now.
