“He likes to play both of them right now and you’d think at some point, one would definitely play better than the other, and then he would be the guy and away we go,” Spurrier said. “But I’m not sure what’s going to happen. One may play the majority of it, or they may go back and forth. I’m not sure. Back when I was coaching, I wasn’t afraid to pull a quarterback if he was struggling and usually the second guy played pretty well. Then, if he’d go bad a little bit, the other guy would come back. But we tried to — as long as they were playing well, they stayed in there.”

Spurrier starting to second guess a UF coach is never a good thing for that coaches longevity.

I've tried desperately to understand Dan's decisions at QB and tell myself I'm being an armchair coach and don't see the entire picture. But I have to say after Franks/Trask 2.0 this season I truly believe Mullen's head is, in fact, up his arse.

Spurrier and Mullen get along well but I am sure Spurrier is wondering why Richardson hasn't been allowed to take the job as of now. I think he was a little more vocal about it when asked about Franks struggles a few times before fate stepped in there.

I tried to give Mullen the benefit of the doubt. But if you break it down, he has started the wrong QB more times than not.
He started Feleipe for a season and a half.
Franks, despite being a really shitty QB, started until he was injured.
He should've fired Grantham after last season. Now we're losing our highest rated recruits because, like Emory. Mullen waits too long to make the right decision.
Oh and Hevesy sucks too, as a coach and a recruiter.

If I had to bet, it’d be that Mullen will start Emory tomorrow. He’s that hard headed.

I hope not but if he does he better have a short leash and not let us get down more than one score before making a switch. I have no faith Jones could lead us to an upset here.
