The Score

Chip Kelly is no longer in the running for Florida's head coach job, as the school has moved on from considering the former Oregon coach, sources told Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde.

Kelly was reportedly expected to choose between vacancies at Florida and UCLA after meeting with officials from both programs earlier in the week.

Florida will likely pursue Central Florida head coach Scott Frost, who worked under Kelly as a receiver coach from 2009-2012 at Oregon, according to Forde.

Kelly has worked as a college football analyst for ESPN this season after he was fired from his position as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers following the 2016 season. There's no guarantee he'll return to coaching this year.

The other UAA plane took off north and then while over South Carolina we lost the ability to track it.

Update: Came back on and it landed in South Carolina. UF soccer team plays there today.

I don't think there is anything to read from these planes, likely picking up family or boosters for the game tomorrow.

This whole thing has been very odd. The UF insiders have not wavered in their belief, despite what has been said by some nationally. I don't know how good Forde's sources are, he was terribly wrong about Mac so maybe he is here too, but I am certainly starting to think it's time for plan B.

Apparently the plane was going to a soccer game.

Yeah, don't think planes had anything to do with coaching search.

We have problems if Kelly and Frost both pick other schools over us. I am hoping for Kiffin but Frost wouldn’t be a bad choice either. We have call Leach , Petrino and Kiffin before we move on to guys like Norvell.

Kiffin would be my first choice by far. Then hopefully Strong. I'm not a fan of Kelly and his optional defense anyway. Good riddance.

Mullen would have this board pulling their hair out in no time...it will be run, run, run, run some more and then 3rd and 8 get sacked. He doesn't believe in the forward pass.

While I love a great strong run game...you have to strike a balance.

Oh, BTW Peterson just signed an extension to his contract through 2022...forget him.

Frost a done deal to Nebraska?

Heard this before the article he's been having conversations with them behind the scenes.

Way too many ties to Nebraska with Frost. I like Kiffin and even Petrino would light up the SEC.

Trust me...all the rumors are the result of agents and their hangerons. Stricklin may have someone totally out of left field.

He is going to keep everything fart tight friends. But I do expect an announcement real soon....or maybe not
