Player/Coach turnover
Toney has decided to come back, which I think was a smart decision for him, so that leaves CJ as our only early entry. That has to be the fewest in a long time. Also pretty quiet on the coaching turnover other than a few Grantham rumors.

I know there we be some activity after National Signing Day and the Super Bowl, and also that some here want some of the coaches out, but I like the continuity of our staff.

You guys are crazy putting pressure like that on this season.

The pressure is going to be there regardless of what I think. The talking heads will beat this drum all off season.

I don't think we could have hoped for a better result in early departures or coaching changes, some will disagree on Grantham but am glad he didn't leave.

Sets us up going into 2020 without dealing with a lot of change. I hope this translates into a big season.

That is the hope, but I think 2021 can be even better. I just don't subscribe to the old 'this is our window' theory. That is all I am saying. I have high hopes for the 2020 season and with good reason, but we will have some holes to fill and hopefully we have players step up to the challenge.

re: Player/Coach turnover
The holes in 2021 are bigger, and Alabama is added to the schedule while Georgia gets Arkansas.

In addition, in 2021 UF is on the road at LSU.

Odd number years usually aren't good for Florida.

The holes to fill in 2021:
QB Trask
WR Grimes, Toney
TE Pitts
OL Heggie, DeLance, Forsythe
DL Slaton, Campbell, Dunlap, Moon,
DB Wilson, Stewart, Davis, Lenton, Stiner, McWilliams

And that's not counting any transfers out, or other guys like Pierce, Copeland, Dean, Carter, or Conliffe going pro.

The schedule in 2020 is ideal. The coaching staff has continuity when a lot of major rivals are going through periods of transition. UF has the best QB in the conference.

There is no argument I have seen as to why 2021 should be better than 2020.

Other than the fact that you can't even come close to predicting how good a team will be in 2 years. There are going to be freshmen who surprise and upper class players who disappoint or get injured. We will get transfers like Greenard and Jefferson who you can't plan for 2 years in advance. We don't even know how good Emory is and won't until 2021. What about Lingard who can't play this season? He could be an unbelievable home run hitter.

It is absolutely ridiculous to say our window is closing if we don't win in 2020 because we will be worse in 2021. I don't subscribe to that theory at all.

re: Player/Coach turnover
This is a retarded argument. Sure ok we can’t predict the future. No shite.

So even if we accept that the 21 team will be just as good or better, which seems unlikely based on the big upcoming losses to graduation...

The 2021 schedule is harder and favors Georgia and the rest of the sec Big boys are in a bit of a transition

The continuity and Blue Chip % increase has been promising. Next year should be another really positive season for Florida. I’m excited about the future and football is definitely fun again at Florida.
