Just saw reports that he is officially off the team. He was saying before the game that if he wasn't starting, he would leave the team.

Ahh, he wasn't sent home. He went home on his own accord.

Not sure how I feel about it.

Huh?

Players don't tell coaches they are starting. Period.

Did Gerald Willis play at all tonight, or is he still hurt?

A fan of Dances with Wolves ??

Back to Orr...a shame but he is no longer on the team unless he has change of heart and aplogizes. We always need DL depth to rotate...but if anyone watched the past few games they would have noticed Cox, Bullard (DT/DE),Brantley, Ivie, along with Willis, Bostwick, McCallister all getting snaps with the team. We also have others we signed in Taven Bryan, Holley, Reed & Clark.

Orr can gtfo our team. Have you ever heard of a football player acting so self-entitled? Because I cant think of another player being so selfish in my entire life.

If I was an NFL team, I'd never give a guy like this a chance. He literally doesn't give a flying frick about anything but himself. As soon as things start to go good for Florida, they go bad for him... and he quits. What a fricking bitch.

Wonder if Jimbo does the same to Mr Crab Thief and Jamis goes home?

We had a record number of juniors enter the draft last year didn't we?

NFL teams are fine with picking up selfish players.

I kind of want to know why he wasn't being played, though. They're there to get to the NFL, about none of them actually give a frick about Florida -- the atmosphere has been like that for a while (since Meyer, although I don't recall ever hearing something like this happening under his watch). Hopefully our recruiting classes bring in a few more "team" players rather than selfish infants.

Orr has played a lot when not injured...Boom always rotates the DL more than any position group. He also bases starting as how well the players practice during the week. If anyone cared to look at past games even Dante Fowler didn't start some games...but he didn't cry about it.

Its not like DTs in the two deep aren't going to keep significant snaps during a game. Orr just hurt his draft stock.

In all reality, if you were trying to pad your stats. You would much rather play more snaps in the second half when the Oline is a little more beat up on than in the first half now that I think about it.

It's not like a WR -- the more time on the field, the better.

But at Dline unless you're a Fowler type, you need to produce stats. Fowler doesn't pad his stats at all, but he's a monster when he tackles and he's a consistent force that the offense has to scheme around.

PS: Hope you're doing well, Reel.

This would all be worth discussing if Orr was as good as he thought he is, but unfortunately, he wasn't going to be drafted before, and he probably put the last nail in that coffin with this.
