When Frank's ran in for his first rushing TD. He got swarmed. I know some of you hate the kid but that is absolutely proof that he is liked by his teammates. I mean he got mauled. The entire offense on the field was about to jump out of the stadium.

This may be what Mullen sees. Maybe Frank's is in fact the leader? Players dont celebrate like that for a basic TD for someone they aren't behind fully as their QB.

He clearly has a ton of work to do. Slow progression, misreads defenses, indecisive at times.

But he is growing. This guy had no coaching in high school, and the worst OC in the country in college. The mental isn't established yet.

Growth is happening. This is what this year is. A year to grow. As Mullen said before the season started, it will probably take at least a year to develop a Qb. Doesn't happen overnight.

It's clear the team is behind Frank's. His presnap read to get Cleveland to go deep was awesome and laid it perfectly. Which mind you..needs to happen five times a game. Cleveland is an absolute beast at 50/50 balls.

But but I heard he was braindead on this board?

Expect Straws any minute to attack the kid. He cant stand losing. Thought all along Trask would start. Now he has a hornet in his shorts...its a broken record.

Folks are looking at him and pointing at him now...he became so obvious.

Franks is 9th in the country in TD passes tied with Tua.

Well said. For all his downside he is a big, strong, tough kid who competes like hell. I get frustrated with our offense but I do think Mullen knows what he is doing, and he is sold on Franks being the man so I am behind him 100%.

I think our fan base is just drained honestly.

No trust in the staff because we've had shite coaching for almost a decade.

Time to let this staff work though. This staff is far, far more proven than the past group.

Especially at QB. It's amazing people actually think they know more about QBs than Mullen here. Mind boggling. I get questions on play calling occasionally, or on some players not getting the ball.

But frick..the dude has proven without any doubt he knows this damn position. This isn't Mac. This isn't Champ. This is a guy who's put a lot in the league. Frank's is raw. Never been coached well. Yet still a four star, who many schools wanted. Why? Can't teach that arm or that size. He's also a good kid, and the players around him love him.

Let the system prove it doesn't work before you label it a failure. If by year two, Frank's still sucks...then time to bench. Right now? Kids just getting a chance to be coached well. So let's see what happens. Mullen knows more than us. Time to buy in

I don’t hate Franks. He plays his heart out and I admire that but he can’t be the future.

He can't?

I will wait till next year to write him off. See how he builds with good coaching.

Y'all can knock him all you want. 12-2 is a great stat line. Add in his red zone improvement is huge. He is doing very well as Straws also stated in short game. He just needs improvement over the middle and progressing.

Give it time. Mullen has done more with worse QBs.

This is the second time I've seen you say this. Do you have actual proof of this being true? His head coach has bee pretty successful including winning at least one state championship. You don't get to that kind of level without having a solid coaching staff around you.

It was part of the question on him when being recruited. Said he didn't have formal coaching in high school. He was considered "raw" talent. His ranking based on potiental with his size and arm.

It just seems crazy to me that a kid in high school throws for over 7,000 yards, 87 tds to 17 ints and people think he was raw and had poor coaching.

Because it's bullshite and it's the worst part of their argument. Of course he was coached, he's just not very intelligent. I'm not saying he's stupid, but I mean he's had some real gems from interviews.
