I like Armstrong and I think he needs to stay. The problem is that the talent on the front seven is not there this year!!!!
Obviously Billy needs to be the head coach of this team let go of play calling and get a OC and Special teams coach and Billy needs to be The head coach that is his duty!!!!
I like all of our young guys that are getting very valuable experience that will pay off next year.
I really compare this defense to 2007 obviously not as talented. I'm meaning as in the young talented players that are on this team I really believe we have some young talented guys. Unfortunately just not any talented pass rushers. But as a whole I really believe this defense will be much much better next season. I was really hoping for a sixth win so they could get that extra time in for a bowl. But unfortunately this year is not happening.
I think we will have a very hungry very underrated team in Gainesville next season with a very difficult schedule.
I'm looking forward to the ride and looking forward to see how this team preforms these last 2 games

Been playing football over 100 years, for the first time in CFB history we let a QB run for 200 yards and pass for over 300 on us lastnight to the tune of over 600 yards combined.
To say scheme had nothing to do with it is incorrect imo. Teams have ran over us at will all season and its a schematic issue.
Kentucky beat us with one man running one play for damn near 300 yards
Its a trend at this point.

Youre not gonna find many gamechangers in the portal. Its very rare a player who can actually play at a high level transfers from the team he committed to.

Don't tell that Norvell I don't think he would believe you
He was able to get several good to great players out of the portal.
I'm not saying every player in the portal go get but for sure the portal wasn't something Florida utilized to its fullest either.

Yep if you hit the portal early there are some gems there if the boosters have the NIL covered.

A couple of ours are sevicable and one D lineman likely plays in the NFL. The RT we were warned about by Bama fans has been pretty bad though. Barber needs to go back to RT and we need a good proven LT in the portal this offseason.

Shocked me to actually see that Napier has a worse win % than the previous 3 coaches that were all fired. I guess I probably knew this but to see it on the screen Saturday night opened my eyes. The only reason to remain on the Napier bandwagon is hope that the 2024 recruiting class has the talent to save him. Now that it is beginning to fall apart, I wonder. The problem is not that we are losing, it's how we are losing.

He's made some serious blunders that warrant the criticism he's been getting.
I'm not that surprised that he's struggled worse than the previous 3 however.
Dopey Dan left this program in the worst shape of any of our previous coaches. Now Napier hasn't done a good job so far either, so I'm not trying to blame Mullen for Napier's mistakes, but I do think no matter who came in after Dan would've had a bad season or two given expectations because it was such a shite show here.

I hated that hire before it even happened. In fact, after the fake death threats, I didn't have a list of who to hire (of course I was excited at the prospects of Chip or Frost like many others lol), but I had one "DO NOT HIRE" and that was Mullen.
I knew once it was officially announced that he was hired that this program was due for a really dark 5-10 years, and well, that's what we're seeing now.
I was so pissed when that hunchback walked off the plane. I wanted Stricklin fired for hiring him and even if Napier does turn it around somehow and Golden also works out, I wouldn't be against Stricklin being fired due to that moronic hire. Especially since he worked firsthand with Dan in Starkville and knew his tendencies.
While Napier has made some critical errors and deserves much of the criticism he's getting, I also think this is a bad situation that even someone like Urban wouldn't be winning in right away. If we hired Urban this November, I think he'd look more like 2005 or 2007 Urban than 2006, 2008, or 2009 Urban. Maybe even 2010 Urban if the 2024 class didn't hypothetically stick.

2007 Urban you could clearly see the next year that defense would be much better. I hope we make a nice move next season but if we don't Napier will just verify he is clueless at SEC level big boy football as a head coach.

I’ve never understood this. Is there something about the SEC, outside of skill, that makes it different from the other conferences?
I get it, the SEC has the most talented players, but is it really rocket science on how to properly run a program?

It reminds me of triple crown horse racing with these coaches at the 7 SEC schools that expect to be competing for SEC and national championships (FL, GA, AL, Aub, TN, LSU & A&M) Even though many have the impressive resume when they are thrown in against the top competition they wilt under the pressure.

I think he gets next season but if we were embarrassed in both games you never know. I hope he can end with a decent class and get his act together next season.
