Gator board seems to be in quiet anticipation of this week's game. Or quiet dread of this week's game. This thread could get very busy if we don't see some changes against a poor Vandy team in Gainesville.

It's probably a mix of anticipation and dread for me. I am still optimistic for the future due to our youth, but that can only explain so much. And it shouldn't play a factor this week where we are significantly more talented.
I am worried about the injuries and coming out flat. And the bad thing is even if we win convincingly, it doesn't mean much. We expect it even after losing last year.
If we lose or win in a nail biter, obviously there will be more cards on the table because clearly something has gone very wrong. That's when the alarm would be deafening and we might be beyond the point of no return with regards to losing this team as well as seeing the recruiting class start falling apart. Especially if we lose.

Even a close win over an inferior Vandy team will cause a lot of noise in the system. This needs to be a blowout with significant changes in offense, defense and special teams. Not asking too much right?

Unfortunately, I don't think we will be seeing any major changes until UGA since we have the bye week after South Carolina.
The only way we are blowing them out is if our defense plays very solid. And with our injuries along the offensive line and Etienne, even if our defense only gives up a couple scores, it will still probably be close. I know Vandy's defense is terrible, but we couldn't even get multiple touchdowns against freaking Charlotte.

I think we blow them out if we take any advantage of their weak CBs but I also think it could be fools gold and we crap the bed against SC.

The South Carolina game scares the crap out of me. It's not even that they are good, but I thought preseason we would kill them based on last year. But at this point, I am surprised we are even able to put our jersey's on correctly on the road.
