Shane was 5th string before starting in 1990!

Nah, I doubt he'll see any real time at Florida but...you just never know. It depends on his processing speed and accuracy. With Mullen, anyone can be a QB. I know he's a player's son, has probably had QB coaches all of his life but his ceiling is probably signal caller.

Any consistency, for me, at Quarterback would be welcome but I just don't think he has the physical tools to be successful at Florida. (5'9'' like 170~ pounds is what they're measuring him at.)

Although, Baker Mayfield was apparently too small to be a successful Quarterback (and was a walk-on, hilariously). We'll just have to wait and see.

He’s on the team because of his daddy. Nothing else.

Remember that Shane was deep in the depth chart because he and the starting QB in 1989, Kyle Morris, were both suspended because of gambling on sports (non football).

I know a few eyebrows were raised in 1989 when we opened the season against an underdog Ole Miss team in the Swamp and lost even though we held them to under 200 yds of offense. I forget how many turnovers we had. Again, Im not accusing Morris of anything.

It’s going to be really tough for him to ever get a chance to play unless we have a lot of injures and transfers .

I never count anyone out, Kerwin Bell, walk on Chris Doering walk on. Lots of others that most thought would never leave a mark on Gator football, became legends!

Depending on what book you read, the reason for and the winner of the "War over States Rights" is different.

Seriously, find a history book that is over 50 years old, then one 25 years old and read the section about the Civil War, then read a newer book. You will swear that you are talking about 2 different conflicts.

History is being rewritten on a daily basis based on the political views of the time.

I watched the kid play a few weeks ago in a playoff game. He will probably never take a meaningful snap at UF. Ever. But we had another commit at that game Gervin Dexter, the guy is a freak 6'6" defensive end.
