Yeah it was like a ok dude, whatever man

To imply that a QB decision is going to cause a fan exodus is rediculous

i wouldn't say the fans will lose faith in mullen, but i would say the interest in the season will drop. he's already released the depth chart for this week and it lists franks as the #1 guy. probably doesn't mean that much, but i wouldn't expect a sold out crowd for idaho or many fans traveling to tallahassee unless the already live in the panhandle. much less travel for a bowl game.

Imo if he starts Franks he will have him on a short leash.

That is what’s nkt clicking for you here Straws. You seem okay with being good, not great.

The reason Franks had more support was the possibility he had of being elite based on arm strength and size. Clearly he just won’t be so we are ready to move on.

Del Rio is not a great QB. At all. He couldn’t even start at Oregon State. Trask couldn’t even start in high school. Neither is elite.

Emory or Jalon have far more of a chance. You seem okay with being okay and winning ten games sometimes and maybe the East occasionally but not a title. I’m not. I want titles on the wall.

So I’d rather see us take a risk, not go for the safest option to do decently. Jones has more upside than Trask. He does. Trask is a smarter QB, but that isn’t going to make him an elite QB. Emory has a lot to work on, but has the rifle arm and is a dangerous run threat. So he is the better chance at greatness returning.

East titles mean nothing if you can’t compete in Atlanta. I’d rather risk losing five games but chance winning if all on a raw prospect than take the comfy 9-3 route with a guy who won’t do enough to win it all.

End of the day. Till Saban is gone we aren’t beating him with average or good QB play. We must have elite.
