He's rebuilt a program that went 0-12 to 6-0 in a year and a half while blowing teams out. No coach is a guarantee.

One thing that’s good about Frost is that he is recruiting the state right now. Same thing with Kiffin. I think both would have top 10 or maybe even top 5 classes in their first year .

Looked at Frost's class, he has many positions on both sides of the ball being filled. Not one sided

Why would you take a chance at UF now with Frost?

I don't see it as taking a chance. I think HC experience should be a requirement, and he has that.

I'd rather go out and get the guy I believe to be a championship caliber coach. Sometimes you are going to strike out and sometimes you are going to hit a home run. There aren't many chances you get at a guy like Frost, so you have to take your swings when you can.

I'd also add that hires like Strong or Kiffin are the kind that get ADs fired. Could they work out? Absolutely. You bring in someone that was previously fired and you open yourself for tremendous criticism should they not work out.

Glad I linked the thread. Very interesting read.

I don't believe it will happen on Sunday.

I don't know if it will happen that soon, but all indications are that it is not a happy marriage.

That would be great news . Seems like half of the fan base is exited for the day he is fired and we get to have new head coach. He seems like a dead man walking .

You are taking a HUGE chance with a guy that has a little over a year coaching experience. Sure he looks great coaching in the AAC but we are talking about BIG BOY football. The stakes are much higher, the demands are much greater, the program is much more important. Whether you believe it or not, Frost would have a HUGE learning curve on how to handle the demands of coaching at UF. A big learning curve. Look at the guys that proceeded him here. Urban was the only one that got it day one. The other 3 could never ever understand the rigors of the job. UF IS NOT THE PLACE FOR A HC TO LEARN ON THE JOB. We need a SURE thing. We need someone that will come in day 1 understanding this fanbase, front office, Bull Gators, THE NCAA, keeping kids out of trouble, etc.

While I would take Frost over Mcelwain in a heart beat. I am scared to death with UF taking another HC with very little HC experience. For that reason, I would be more comfortable with a Steve Addazio to turn this ship around. He has the experience to get UF going the right way. Let Frost learn on the job at Nebraska. Go get him 4 years later after he's made the mistakes at another program.

FWIW, I'm hearing that Mac is out and Shannon will take over Sunday win or lose.

Hey, I could be completely wrong, but I am confident enough in my read to put my name to the theory.

frick, guys, this is getting more embarrassing than McElwain's death threats.

What a way to end your story. People have no clue what's going on right now, yes or no, period.

Butch Jones lost 41 - 0 at home and didn't get fired, to think that they'll fire McElwain after Georgia -- WIN OR LOSE is absolutely, astoundingly stupid.

There are boosters and former players that are absolutely pissed at the guy right now. There is too much smoke out there to not be any fire imo.

What does Butch Jones and UT have to do with UF? It is time for McElwain to go.

What should be done eventually, must be done immediately. If you can't tell that Butters time is up here, I don't know what else to tell you.

If you retards really think he's going to get fired on Saturday, you're free to be retards. But christ almighty, will you guys even come back to the board if UGA loses? There may be more UGA fans here than Gators, and that might be a good thing.

End of the day: Some guy saying ''I could be completely wrong, hyuck'' and some other random posts with absolutely no merit making you guys get you guys all hot and bothered is a painfully stupid waste of time.

I will be ecstatic if we beat UGA. I will be here win or lose. It still won't change my opinion of Mac and that we need to go in a different direction immediately. I was done with Mac last year. I said it here and I'll keep saying it. Every day he's here is 1 day we could be going in another direction.

You wouldn't change your opinion of McElwain if he beat Georgia missing 15 scholarship players on a depleted roster...?

Why should it ? Your opinion of him doesn't change no matter how much he loses or how bad his offense plays . I think a lot of us are done with him because he hasn't attempted to fix the offense. It's the same offense all 2.5 years . It hasn't work and a good coach would change things up . He recruited the criminals so the suspension mean nothing to me. He has added more thugs and has keep the same talent level at best .
