2022 prospect seems to love Brian Johnson and Mullen

Another one after Del Rio will make Georgia have regrets

Richardson and Del Rio are both going to be very, very good. This is the first time in a long time that Mullen is going to have high caliber QBs at both the starting and backup position.

It's also kind of cool that he's very loyal to his Quarterbacks (to a fault, at times) so I know that they'll be alright with waiting their turn to play. Especially since he rotates them in every now and again (again to a fault, at times).

We're gonna have a very strong Quarterback room after this year (it's good this year, but we need, theoretically, 3 players in the system to have it be actually strong).

i still don't think jones sees the field as a starter ever. i think he transfers at the end of the year depending on how well richardson plays.

I think Jones will start in 2021, but I think we'll have a lot of Anthony Richardson too. Mullen has shown that he simply opts out to seniority at the QB position, and has done so in the past. Dak Prescott and Kyle Trask both sat behind people they were better than until there was an injury.

Although I do think Richardson is better than Emory. I have a lot of concerns with Emory's accuracy.

See the sig

I think Mullen should have Richardson be the change of pace QB instead of Emory.

Emory deserves the keys with how much of a team player he has been.

Not sure what the dislike of him is. Kid has a cannon and is athletic. He really hasn't had a chance in live action to play comfortably. When he did vs Auburn he did very well for us. I think it goes in line. Trask, Jones, Richardson. Doubt Richardson jumps Jones. Jones has absurd upside and the best QB guy in his ear in college. I trust he will be very good.

As the self-appointed QB guy I'll tell you:

He's more athletic than he is a QB. Which is okay, but in the SEC you're really going to have to be an actual dual-threat. A lot of his potential is that he's been a change of pace QB, it is way harder to be QB1 because people are actually scheming against you.

Richardson is just a freak athlete and a great passer to boot. 6'4'', 233 as a freshman.

Emory is 6'3'', 206? 212? Just ain't the same breed.

recruiting

Emory

is the result of mullen grabbing at straws. he was the only "dual threat" QB left on the board. if he was that good, he'd be on everyone elses radar pretty heavily, but he was recruited late in the game. i feel like his talents are better suited at a school like Virginia like that QB we played in the OB last year.

I still think Mullen should have stuck it out with Corral, who wasn't a significant dual-threat but holy frick the kid was ready to play day 1. I also think Jalon Jones was going to be a really, really dangerous QB (under Mullen).

Emory was always just a highly-ranked Dual Threat that Mullen grabbed since he was a new HC at Florida.

Anthony Richardson is the kind of guy Mullen wanted. Big, athletic, smart off the field who can be tuned up in college (like Dak and Tebow). In fact, he's the same size as Tebow (as a Freshman).

Literally the archetypical Mullen QB.

I mean, he was committed to OSU before his junior year and had a ton of offers. I thought he decommitted because UF came after him late. Sounds pretty heavily recruited to me though

when i think of "heavily recruited" QBs, i think of the trevor lawrences, the tim tebows, the justin fields', the tua's, etc.

Gotcha, he was just unlucky in that he came out the same year as Fields and Lawrence in the same state.
