Here's an interesting story on the hiring of Mullen...

turns out, it was because of his loyalty to MSU since he had so many ties there and nothing to do with Dan's ability. he felt if he "stole" Mullen from MSU, he'd be betraying MSU.
and now it looks as if he might be leaving.

I'd be pretty darn happy with Luke Fickell or Mario Cristobal
If Mullen were to leave and Grantham and Hevesy leaving with him is the biggest plus

I did not say I want him gone but if he were to leave. he can take Grantham and Hevesy and not let the door hit him on the way out and if EJ wants to hit the transfer portal and go start at SC more power to him.
And I think Luke Fickell or Mario Cristobal would be fantastic at Florida. so if Mullen wants to go then he can go. Florida will not have a problem getting a coach to Gainesville

Is it a perception issue with him then? Those are pretty good numbers. Maybe not the numbers they want compared to Urban and Spurrier?
