They are in straight denial about their qb situation.

They’ve started the most UF threads on the Rant since the game Saturday

Honestly it’s pointless talking football with them (there are a few that are reasonable).

Very few of them are reasonable.

The new ones are like progressives. Insane.

They did this offseason too. I get they are mad UF jumped them in polls..but they seriously struggled with Arkansas for three quarters and have no QB. What do they expect?

Smart looks more and more like a better recruiting Muschamp each year.

In their defense, Kirby has made it downright impossible to gauge who fits where in their scheme. I knew Mathis wouldn't be good well before that, just based on the Spring Game of last year.

I remember when no one was beating Jamie Newman out, then they backtracked and said JT Daniels was the deal and then it was D'Wan Mathis was going to take them to the promised land. Now they're talking up Bennett but hoping to God that JT Daniels is ready for Auburn.

Truth of it is: JT Daniels has the most talent but hasn't played real football in over a year. He was playing in the PAC-12 and threw 10 interceptions, even for a Freshman that's ugly since the PAC-12 isn't exactly well known for their smothering defenses (especially pass defense).

I'd be incredibly worried in their position, because their best Quarterback has the least time with the playbook and in the system. Their walk-on is 5'10'' with a middle school arm and Mathis is absolute buns. Not really his fault, though, Kirby hasn't had a decent Quarterback outside of Fromm and he regressed badly in 2019.

This bodes very well for the future of the Gators to have that much chaos in the QB room of our biggest rival in the East.

I'd also make a good bet that Monken will leave after this year. Way too stressful of a job for a guy who rarely stays at a place for more than two years, and with an HC like Kirby that is consistently in the offense.

Just like Muschamp, no matter what OC is in the mix, the offense looks virtually the same.

You know I watched that South Carolina Tennessee game and I have to give Muschamp credit. He hired Bobo and that offense doesn’t look like he is meddling at all.

Only took him 9 years

I honestly saw little difference between the offenses, I just don't think Muschamp can radically change the offense and let his OC actually do the work.

Any of ya'll notice how fast Georgia fans bail on the season as soon as they see a small amount of struggle from their team?

Even if we lost to South Carolina, I know you guys will be here to debate rigorously regarding the game, or at least show up.

That is easily the most fairweather bunch of fans on the site.

Every QB Kirby touches ends up being average. He has had how many four and five stars now? shite even Fields looked trash his first year when he played. Fromm regressed after his freshman year. That is on coaching. They keep blaming everyone but Kirby. Just like we did with Muschamp. In the end..its on Kirby. Something he does screws up QBs.

That's what I always referring to regarding Muschamp -- his real problem is that he took Florida when the East actually meant something.

His 11 win season:

Georgia (Ranked 5th)
South Carolina (Ranked 8th)
Florida (Ranked 9th)
Vanderbilt (Ranked 23rd)

2017 "Championship" Georgia:

Georgia (2nd).

That's it. Not a single other team was ranked in the East.

The only difference between Muschamp and Kirby is that annually, the East has been one of the worst P5 divisions around. He similarly has this problem where he has tons of offensive coordinators and their offense looks the exact same (like with Muschamp).

This year the East actually looks decent, there aren't really any automatic wins, so we'll have to see how this one ends.

A lot of their fans have low IQs similar to a lot of Bama fans, Peter is an exception.

For as much as they badmouth Richt, he averaged 10 wins a season for the last 5 years previous to Kirby. Then there was the fact that Richt also averaged the #8 recruiting class on top of that.

You see, Georgia fans think they suffered hard times under Richt and overplay how much he actually affected their program. "Cupboard was bare, we had no one...", they'll lament.

"Kirby saved us...we were a terrible team.", they opine.

Fact is: We had two terrible coaches before Mullen, both of them caused us to probably be a lot more conscious of identifying the why. I know I got super interested in football when Muschamp became Head Coach because I thought he was terrible even after his successful season.

So, most of us have just had to learn more to give better opinions in general. For them, they've always had a halfway decent team so they never had to dig any deeper than the most superficial of terms (same goes for Alabama fans).

You're starting to see a little more football IQ these days because the lowbrow posters are starting to realize that Kirby sold them some straight up bullshite this offseason regarding their QB situation.

If they hit a bump in the road, you'll immediately see the more aware dogs come out of the woodwork.
