Listening to Mac's presser, it sounded like he wanted to get Treon more involved in the run game. I imagine this is his way of saying "We can't bench him at this point, we might as well use him in the running game more and if he gets hurt, it's not like were missing much anyway"

It's an interesting strategy and something I think just might work. Let Treon do what he does best. Run.

Because he's going to have to run for his life this game

Have Treon walk out for the coin toss, drop a white flag on the field, call it a day!

Hell with it... We probably don't got this, but there are going to be a lot of Gators out there who will still be with us next year. Toting an arse whooping should it come to that will be worth getting them bloodied so to speak in a Atlanta. We'll be a better team for it next year.

Run him. Take chances. Nothing to lose.

Between Kelvin, the two Jordans and Treon we ought to have enough legs to mount some kind of decent running game.

The offensive line hasn't exactly been stellar at run blocking, but they've been doing better lately, I think.

I will believe it when I see it. We have been saying we are going to use him in the run game more for about 4 weeks now. I agree let him tote the rock. What is the worse that can happen. I also think we implement some wildcat with Grady or Taylor.

I suggest Townsend at QB...he is going to be on the field a lot anyway...maybe punt on third downs old school style.

There is nothing behind Treon. If he gets hurt during SCAR, FAU, or even FSU you risk him not being available for the SEC championship game which of those all of those games is the most important. I don't think it makes a bit of difference because Bama's D is that good, but maybe now is when we finally see a little bit more zone read. Again, nothing to lose at this point other than potentially not having Treon for the bowl game is he gets injured. Even so, the risk is worth it.

The drop off from Harris to the next guy say Grady can not be that big. He is a short athlete playing QB. If they were scared to get him injured then they should have played someone else at QB and let them run the ball. Even running the wild cat with 2 athletes in the back field would be better. Not like defenses are scared of Harris passing on them.

There is really not much with Treon on the field either. If you look at it Treon almost cost us some of those games IMO. His stats the last 4 games 58/112, 670yds, 3TD's, 4Int's, 40 carries, 71yds, 2 fumbles. Out of the 8 TO's in the last 4 games he has 6. I don't think FAU scores more than 7 if not for Treon's fumble return TD. I will give him credit for the clutch throw to McGee at the end of the FAU game.

Yesterday Mac said he hasn't used Treon in the run game because he is trying to implement a system and push the envelope. It's apparent he doesn't fit his system. Getting hurt is part of it with the lack of depth and Mac said as much but he followed it up by saying he thinks Grady or Guy could come in and play if called on. But he is trying to get his system implemented so we aren't doing what we have done the last 4 years and have a different offense every year. Sure lack of depth has hurt us but you don't see Georgia Tech not running the option because they don't have depth behind Thomas. I just think if you are in the position we were vs Vandy and FAU and Harris isn't making the pass work you make adjustments and run Treon. I just haven't seen really any adjustments being made at halftime.

Jacob Guy is 6'5" 222lbs. That would have been nice to have a QB that could see over the line vs FSU. McElwain said he had a good spring practice and caught his eye. And he wears #15.

Here is a link to some of his recruiting film

I can't understand why Jacob Guy couldn't get a series in at the end of that FSU game? The game was over.
He must be awful in practice is all I can think.

Bench Hardin. Either go for 2, go for it on 4th, or use the dentist. We know what we have with Hardin, there's no excuse to keep trotting him out there.

Wildcat/Option with Treon, Taylor, and Scarlett. We don't have Grier back there, not sure why Nuss still calls plays as if we do. We totally abandon the run game sometimes. Also, why don't we ever hand it to the guy sweeping around on those end around play actions, it's the same call every time.

Blitz more. We have to take more risks on defense and blitz more to try to create turnovers. I can't remember the last corner blitz we've done.

I wondered the same thing. Like I said I just don't see any halftime adjustments being made. Agree bench Hardin put in the dentist I don't care if he misses them all.

Interesting comment Joey Ivie made they asked him about Dalvin Cook picking up the running game in the 4th quarter and he said he thinks a lot of players started to look at the scoreboard and lost hope. It was 13-0 going into the 4th quarter and Cook didn't score until there was 6 minutes left in the quarter. I don't think the defense has any hope that Treon can lead us to a score if needed. If they do the same against Bama Henry may get 250 yards on us on 45 carries.

y'all can beat Bama

I mean, hell, the Citadel beat S Kakalaka

And The Cocks beat UNC (how did that happen)?

I am definitely pulling for the Gators this weekend (live in Bham, have Bama fatigue); makes it easier on me that y'all can't get into the playoffs... (just being honest guys)

Good luck

Hate to bust your bubble but there is a slight chance...yes slight, that UF could be CFP if they upset Bama...we would need Clemson to lose, Iowa ditto, Stanford ditto....it would be between us and Ohio State if that happended. If you have been watching talking head shows on ESPN....its been debated quite a bit.

Jacob Guy could have gone to smaller score on a scholly, but chose to UF as a preferred walk on. I cant believe he hasnt seen the field. Maybe Treon is some diva in the locker room but I would damn sure tell him to take helmut off it wont be needed. He has been putrid...beyond bad. Its unacceptable at UF and McElwain should know this...it will bite him in the azz if he marches that turkey on the field come next fall.

thanks for the vote of confidence, but realistically UF will be lucky to even sniff the end zone in Atlanta.

Yeah, I just can't see y'all jumping that many teams with your 2 losses. UNC would get Clementine's spot if they beat them before y'all would
