Let's flush that last game and keep moving forward.

I actually watched most of the KY @ Vandy game. KY's offense wasn't as impressive as the score would make you think. They had 2 pick 6s on defense and their passing game had issues. The QB was getting hit quite a bit and quite a few throws were off target. They do have some pretty fast WRs though. Their running game was decent but I don't think it's as good as it was in recent years - at least looking at this game. The O line doesn't seem to be as good as in the past. It's hard to say how good their defense is since we are their first big test.

Kentucky
Saying the same thing about Florida.
Only scoring 22 against Charlotte.

Kentucky at home will be ready to play. Stoops always get them ready to play Florida.

Hopefully they get Kingsley and Tre back this week and get motivated to go on the road and play and not look like they did against Utah.

My thoughts at this point is I like our defense against their offense. The only thing that kind of worries me some is they do have some weapons to hit long passes. Also I have a feeling a Stoops defense won't let some shifts at the line get them all bent out of shape like TN was.

Kentucky has definitely been a thorn for us the last 5 years, so really need to play a better game this week. Need much more consistency with this offense and game scheme

This is an important game imo.

I'm glad that we beat the Vols but for all the talk that that was a "must win" for Billy in the media/social media, I think this game is more important for him.

Recruiting wise I would say the home game against Tenn was the most important this season. If we want to pull an 8-4 record this is definitely a must win game.

I’d say we’re battle tested at this point with 2 games vs top 25 teams, while UK has played scrubs. I like how our defense is playing, O has been pretty efficient moving the ball lately, Smack had a big confidence boost after yesterday’s game.

I think our red zone O finally gels and we win by 10.

That's a good point.

I think your point for 8-4 is also on-point, although I'm not as concerned with that right now.

I'd like to see more than 8 wins, but realistically if we can get 7 and look better as the season goes on, I'll be cool with it granted that the recruiting class sticks.

I do think this game is important not only for the 8-4 thing, but we really need to have Kentucky waiving the white flag before this game each year like it was back in the Spurrier and Meyer days. Yes, Stoops has raised the profile of UK, but it's still not a game that we should be worried about as it has been every year since 2017.

I wouldn't call one for eight or whatever it was on 3rd down efficient. Billy's mostly passing in a box offense is limiting us imo. I was also surprised how Barber was allowing that rusher to get around him pretty quickly. Usually he is more reliable than that.

I think KY is likely a tight game unless something really surprises the other team like that shifting we did messed up TN like that.

We can shift 5 times during each play Stoops will have Kentucky ready and put 7 to 8 in the box and make us throw downfield to beat him.

Which this team is not that kind of team Utah showed the world that.
So Napier will have to scheme differently and make Kentucky make adjustments to what Florida is doing.
That is the only way Florida wins this game.
But I'd Kentucky holds Florida to 60 yards rushing like Utah it will be that type of game for Florida. This O-line needs to play with there hair on fire and put a hat on a hat and get nasty and aggressive.

Kentucky did score 45 on vandy with 2 pick 6's but still gave up 28 points to vandy so there defense is not as it has been the last few years. But Florida can bot give up a big play against Kentucky like they have every game this year. Florida has given up a big play for a touchdown. Have to eliminate that against Kentucky.

Yep I doubt Stoops doesn't have his defense ready. We just have to win the one on one matchups. I hope our defense continues to play well. KY does have 2 receivers that were track guys.

My friend who is a UK fan said that they have 2 good RBs. They might have good WRs but apparently, according to him, Leary is not a great QB, or hasn't done well so far. I have not watched a second of their team this year, so I don't have an opinion of my own about it.

Screw Kentucky, just on talent alone the Gators should win this game. Losing to Kentucky more than once every 30 years is unacceptable.

I think having the starting o-line back will be the difference. I think that was the biggest reason for us stalling in the red zone. Unfortunately, we just don't have much depth there except for with our coaching staff.

I also want to see Tre Wilson back healthy and getting the ball more. I think he could really impact the game, especially because I think it will be very close.

Agree. I think Napier intentionally limited snaps for ETN to save him for SEC play, get the back ups reps, and protected him from having to run behind this O line.

With our starters back and more ETN getting the ball, I think we'll get better in the red zone.
