i think we need to back off the edge. The play calling looked so bad because the OL blocking was TERRIBLE. Murphy was running for his life all day.
We had wide open guys 5 or 6 times and Murphy either got killed immediately or had to run away.
All offensive coordinators look terrible when the offensive line is getting destroyed.

The more and more I think about the offense, the more and more I have a bad feeling Muschamp has his fingerprints all over it. I mean, all it takes is going back and watching Pease at Boise and at UK. Problem is, Pease will be the fall guy after this year, and Muschamp will have a critically important decision to make. Either he will take his thumb off the OC's throat, or Muschamp will follow Pease out the door, a year later.
I know the OL sucks, but it has been a problem under Muschamp since he got here. I am running out of excuses for Muschamp. I really really like him and want it to work, but I only have so much BS material before you have to be real about it. Champ can do big things at UF, but he has to recruit the OL better and let the OC do his thing. Having a D in the top 10 and an offense in the top 50 wouldn't kill anyone.

Agree. I want muschamp to work so badly. But the Gators are more important to me than who's coaching them. If a guy, as much as I like him, can't get us to an elite level. He has to go. Next year is make or break for muschamp.

I feel like the 2011 FSU debacle has really affected Muschamp's philosophy on offense.

I was told by dmb that he has too much control over the offense. I understand his want to have a run-oriented, ball control offense but when the defense is stacking the box and you cant get those 3-4 yards each carry you need to make adjustments and get those quick strike passes behind the defense in front ofthe secondary to get them to back off. I havent seen much adjustment made by the offense against this and Muschamp needs to let hos coaches make the adjustments and do their job. Pease needs to make his own calls and if he is failing thats when the HC steps in but allow him to have the chance to make something happen.
Just my 2 cents.
