Thursday puts as at a recruiting advantage... sort of. It eliminates the competition for a visit.

Florida - Thursday
Miami - Friday
FSU - Saturday

It will be tough playing with the crickets chirping in the stadium. Who the hell can go to a Thursday game?

Looks like Miller won’t be starting for either team tomorrow….

He seems to be wanting to hide who is in front now out of Mertz and Miller but Mertz would probably get the nod if he starts for the Orange team I would think. Last year I think except for injured players the Orange starting offense were starters and the same with the starting blue defense.

I would say George must be in front of Goodwin at this point and Jackson would be starting over Watson looking at that. Curious if Banks is in on the opening play for the Blue defense.

Good play on offense, defense sucks

Good play on defense, offense sucks

that's a spring game summary.

Wouldn't surprise me to see the Blue offense hit some long passes. I think 2 of those new receivers will hold their own against the 2nd string defense.

Obviously we will see nothing flashy.

But just hoping to see some defense improvement.

Hopefully good O-line play and no injuries!!!!

We're in deep shite, aren't we? Neither one of these QB's are any good.

Doesn't look too good so far. The starting defense looks better than the starting offense for sure so far.

Napier is texting the portal staff in the backfield. "Find me a QB" "Any QB"

Unless it changes fast we are screwed at QB apparently.

We cant snap the ball, cant kick a FG and have QBs that cant produce apparently. If Napier doesnt get the money people to buy a proven QB for 2024 for that one year he might not survive.

Simmons could probably come in and play better than these QBs right away looking at his pocket passing on his high school tape.

Guys I was never a fan of bringing Mertz in but I do say but.

This is only a spring game honestly I don't want the QB's to look good because if they do then come the fall and then do terrible then it's fools gold if they look bad now but are serviceable come fall then that means they put in the work. I'm not expecting to go 10-2 come on guys anyone expecting that is definitely not of sound mind I am expecting 7 to 8 wins and to look much more improved as a team. Going into 2024 with Lagway probably starting as a freshman. Then it's all uphill from that point on!!

You cant expect a true freshman to play your season for you in the SEC though. Its a rare one that can do that halfway decent. I dont see any way we get around not getting a proven QB for 2024 or we are just flushing the other improvements down the drain as that is the year the schedules become much harder with TX and OK and the extra SEC game.

I do admit that tape of Simmons was really impressive with his pocket passing though which is the main issue with many QBs coming from high school.
