Against your defense? Nah. However, they may slow your offense down more than you are use to.

We are also playing press coverage..

Why does this happen AFTER all the big games? My God. This is what we needed vs Georgia...press coverage and Wilson at star.

Mullen continues to outcoach himself.

You can't expect them to give five seconds every single pass. Missouri has shown all season that they will give you short passes, so there should be no reason we're not taking those passes.

On third and 10 we have a five second playcall with a team that is clearly going to blitz.

It'd be the same as you saying: "Elite run protection, snerk" after running into an 11 man box.

Again: Mullen outcoaching himself.

This offensive line is bad.

Our offensive line is straight trash juice.

They are closing in on those short passes, especially to Pitts right now. Add in the pressure has been there way before five seconds man. I mean they get pressure almost immediately up the middle then collapse the pocket around it and it's taking them 3 seconds to do it. Hard for a QB to get his feet set and throw when he has to immediately step back from the guards and center getting blown up like a blow up doll at an incel's house.

And there’s people here that think a switch is going to be flipped next year giving us a dominate OL next year.

One read passes work against these guys. Get the ball out, make them tackle us -- they are terrible at tackling and have been all year.

Maybe they tackle us 9/10 times, but there are going to be plays where we can at least get four yards and maybe a broken tackle.

That beats the frick out of making Trask just sit back there waiting for our route trees to finish 25 yards down the field.

We won this game with defense pure and simple...making Mizzou punt 9 or 10 times and holding them to just two FGs.
Next up: the girls school! War Dann Eagle!!

Please show me where some said we will have a dominate OL next year with a QB change . Emory would help the OL with his threat to run the ball but it would be far from dominate.

Having a run game helps to keep the pressure off the the QB especially a QB who is a threat to run . Our OL did their best when Franks was the QB. Because of the threat of him running the ball . I believe Franks was our 2nd or 3rd leading rusher on the team when he got injured .

As a team we had 54 rushing yards on 26 rushes today . Emory had 39 of those 54 yards on 6 carries . Trask had -17 yards on 7 carries . When the defense knows you can’t run the ball and your QB is a statue it’s easy to bring the pressure.

Jesus frick you're stupid.

Did you see when Toney got tackled for -7 yards? That's because the defense just has to play the QB at the line. That type of offense is temporary.

It will only work if it's run a few plays. We would get obliterated by any team if we put Emory in because he can't run the ball 25+ times a game lol. The single pass he completed the entire game is literally because the defense doesn't believe in his ability to throw, so we are really just hoping they don't have a guy waiting for those.

He has maybe two intermediate completions on the year.

You literally have no idea what you're talking about.

It will improve with another off season of conditioning. No one thinks it will be elite, but we don't need elite...we need average

If we can improve our rush protection from dogshit to average we would be in very good hands. We have numbers advantage usually, and with Trask throwing the way he's throwing we'd be able to move the ball on anyone.

I am not saying that Jones is the QB to lead us to a championship but Trask definitely isn’t so we should give Jones a shot. Our OL is not going to be much better next year . We are going to be the same team next year . Just a shot passing offense. At this point we know that we can’t win the east so why not play Jones for half of the remaining games ? If he sucks then let him transfer. If Jones shows he can play then we can open up the offense next year and actually have more then the short passes. You guys would be great Georgia fans your happy knowing that next year will be a good year but have no chance at an SEC championship.

You have no idea what your talking about . We have no running threat at all so the defense gets to pin their ears back and go after the QB. That’s why the OL sucks even more with your BF at QB.

Do any of your guys even watch football? Every game they have talked gaps and how it’s so important for the defense to contain their gaps. Against us they don’t have to worry about gaps because we can’t run and the QB is a statue.

If you had a pair of nuts you wouldn’t even be on this forum now. I have offered you ban bets on your opinion of Trask and both times you were scared . If I have no idea what I am talking then don’t be scared to bet when we disagree. Deep down you know that you don’t know shite about football.

While I agree on Jones next year...you are pretty clueless if you think Trask is the reason we arent winning anything. Trask is the reason we are finishing 10-2, not 7-5 with how average the rest of the team is outside of him and the receivers.

I will bet you we finish the year 11 - 2.

I want you guys to look at the game today -- look at how many times Emory got tackled and ask yourselves for next year:

"Do we really think he survives the year running 10+ times a game and taking sacks on top of that?"

I don't, and this year we didn't improve even moderately at rush blocking for an entire off-season.

At this point the line is what it is and we have a top 3 (in the SEC) passing threat. Wanting to rehaul the offense so we can marginally improve our running numbers is just a nonstarter.

When we run for 300 yards, I'll be happily on board with you guys. However, the fact is: We're throwing near 300 yards a game and we're doing it as a one dimensional team.
