I've said my peace on him. He has to finally show it. Now this year threw a tough blow but with Nembhart gone we can finally see the offense he wants. So hopefully it is good enough to make us a strong program. If not..then time to move on at end of the year.

This is a much more fun team to watch. I am fairly impressed by the response post-KJ. If they keep this kind of entertaining play up, then he's going to win a lot of support back.

Agreed. The pacing is so much better this year for sure.

Honestly, the loss of Keyontae for the season really hurts. Not much inside presence and defensively we're slacking a bit.

I'm watching the start now had dinner tonight so watching it late. Apparently it's not a fun watch sadly. Either way it is one game. One game won't sway me either way at this point. I'm in the boat that this should be a make or break year for him and having a strong finish and good tourney showing. Think many said that this offseason but who knows.

He will get a free pass this year with Covid and the Keyontae thing. I can guarantee you that. Next year may be his make it or break it year.

I take back everything I said. This is truly embarrassing and flat out awful coaching. Unfortunately, I don't have much confidence in Stricklin to do the right thing. Coaches appear to get very long leashes under him.

As hopeful as I was, I figured we would be back to this at some point this season.
The only thing I can figure out is that he is just too damn nice. When they want to play and hustle, we are very tough to beat. When the kids just aren’t feeling it, very ugly. There is no excuse for this shitty Kentucky team to get so many dunks and layups without us even fouling them.

Nah, that distinction belongs to Gatorbait2008. You’re alright. Mike White certainly has his flaws, but honestly I don’t see a better coach that we could realistically hire right now. Alabama has a home run hire with Oates. I am a little jealous of that. We could perpetually be in a loop of hiring up and comers and not give them a chance to succeed. Mike White’s early years here are very much like Billy’s. Good teams that make the first and second round, and occasionally make a deep run in the tourney (we did make the elite 8). Chill and watch him develop. Patience is a virtue.
Now I reserve the right to change my mind if this team completely tanks and doesn’t even sniff the NCAA.

I have no idea who we should hire and I don't just like firing coaches at a whim, but White just doesn't appear to be someone who can stay near the top of the conference. And it shouldn't be that hard in the SEC. We were saying it last year, but the mantra was that he needed to show something this year, well now we have a brand new excuse to give him another year. That's fine, but I don't see it changing. I would love to be wrong because he seems like a good dude.

I have noticed that Gatorbait2008 is quick to ask for coaches heads. If he is Ying, I am Yang and dont want to be part of the pitchfork and torch group 
These coaches have families and homes and usually school age kids and unless I can see out right ineptitude...they get a pass and the AD will decide for us. Our feelings dont mean squat and unfortunately with major southern schools an L brings on kneejerk reactions in football or multiple losses in basketball.

I didn't feel too bad about McElwain and his family leaving to be honest. Apparently him and his family were a bunch of upty assholes. He was paid millions -- boo hoo we kicked him out. He and his family never accepted the community.
Mike White is the polar opposite. Accepts the community and gets involved. A true family man that has not spoken a bad thing about anyone (publicly). It would hurt him and his family, who are settling into their Gainesville life at this point. His 2.5 Million a year salary helps the sting at least if it does come down to it.
If we went on Gatorbait2008's "inside information" and predictions, Chip Kelly would be our head coach right now and we'd have someone like Frank Martin as our basketball coach.

I like MW but I don’t feel that we should accept being a team who is consistently unranked.
