Good time to bump this thread. It's funny but I backed the coaches and believed that we would improve a year ago. Now we are 4-3 with the same problems. It's time for a change. If not Grantham, then everybody. Start from scratch if the HBC can't cut ties with a failure at DC.

Grantham has to go. It is clear as day that he is a bum that can not make adjustments.

He does not adjust his defense to the players. He does not adjust his defense to the opposition pregame.

He has never won a major championship (conference or NC). However, he makes comments about the way he has always done things.

i'm curious if a new DC can even save Mullen at this point. i forgot who posted it, but it was the 2018-2021 reactions of mullen after losses. he looks like he's checked out mentally. how do you save that? i feel like a new DC would just be a Band-Aid at this point.

I am not giving up on Mullen yet, but I also thought McElwain deserved one more year before the death threat deal.

If Mullen doesn't get over his unshakable loyalty to under performers, his days unfortunately are numbered. UF is not MSU, 8-4 will not cut it nor will recruiting outside the top 10 with 0 five stars and limited 4 stars.

I'd give Mullen another year as long as we get a new DC. If we give Grantham a new contract then its time for Mullen to get his pink slip. We have to get some great recruiters also. Building 3 and 4 stars is a good technique at Miss St but not at UF. We should be getting all 4 and 5 stars

If Grantham gets another contract then fire Stricklin

Stricklin needs to go now.

He hired and extended Mullen, after that debacle last season in the bowl game. He let him keep his fat buddy as D.C. (after setting the record as the worst statistical defense in UF school history) and the O line coach. When everyone can clearly see, they are not good coaches. And in Hevesy's case, a horrible recruiter.

And then we get to the perpetually underachieving Mike White. Hired and extended by Stricklin.

Only to be outdone by the Cameron Newbauer hire and subsequent cover up of some really questionable stuff.

He's quickly dragging UF's athletic department down to a Mississippi State type level.

I’ve said since the beginning that Mullen should get 5 years because of how bad the roster was that he inherited from Mcelwain. Probably the least talented team (at least on paper) in 30 years?? I’ve said by year 5 I expect an SEC championship and a playoff birth. Next year all the players will be guys he personally recruited or brought in from the transfer portal so there will be no excuses. For the rest of this season though, start AR15 and fire Grantham to the Moon.

I agree, IF he makes changes to defensive coaches.
