What these guys don't understand is that we're a year away minimum. It's going to be a hard, difficult, uphill battle to replace what we've lost.

Bullfricking shite I championed Muschamp -- I will literally say I was the first Gator fan to call for his firing, in the very beginning and because he actually had a decent team.
Meyer was consistently recruiting in the top 25. Literally the top class of 2010.
That's the difference.
Muschamp inherited championship caliber players and ended up somehow not bowling.
Mac inherited a the 21st place recruiting class and won the East.
Muschamp - #1 Recruiting Class, can't bowl.
Mac - #21 Recruiting Class (that he saved), wins the East.
That he accomplished anything without a kicker, Oline, Quarterback and mediocre receivers is nothing to balk at. If we had Grier at quarterback, we would pretty much be beating the frick out of every team we played, but alas, we don't.
And because someone didn't recruit quarterbacks Mac had to get four new ones, and work them into the system. It's not easy behind an underrecruited Oline.

LDR has been in his system two years and looked average at best. Mac's recruiting is worse than WM overall. He'll be here only because of his $7-10M buyout. He's had 4 QBs and they all have looked the same with different WRs and OL. Last year was like WM in 2012.

In three games, LDR has 6 touchdowns.

This board is a very slow paced board compared to the ones you listed. This board could go days without a single new post. Especially during the off season.
As far as being depressed, I think we have a pretty good damn reason to be depressed. When we're using to seeing our team hang 60+ point on teams that deserve it to watching them struggle to get in field goal range, it gets pretty pathetic to watch. This team just doesn't have the want to compete.

I have no idea why you guys thought we'd be elite or even near elite with the failure in recruiting by the previous coach. Maybe you just had no idea how badly he left us, but it's weird how you've said Mac has had 2+ years with the team like twice in this conversation even though he hasn't even been here for a year and a half.

I think the negativity has spiraled a bit out of control, especially on this board where I think TJ is literally just trolling some of you now. Which is weird, to troll your own fanbase, but whatever.
I think that the season may take a turn for the worst but I'll still go to every game I can and watch every game and hope for the best.
I think people just need to remember that most people only post online when they are upset. That should temper your expectations about posting. As sunshine pumping happy as they are on the GC boards, even there, it is a mess right now.

Actually, Mac inherited a recruiting class ranked 116th in December and had to turn it around in a total of 2 months to get it ranked 21st. And almost an entire month of that was during a dead period.

I get questioning his personnel choices, but to call him an incompetent coach after taking us to Atlanta with Treon Harris and no kicker last year shows what a complete moronic fricking tool you are.

we're 4-1, and the only quality team we've played all season is Tennessee. we haven't even touched the bulk of the schedule yet. the thing is, we should be 4-1 or even 5-0. but not the way we accomplished it thus far.

Mac and Co recruiting especially on defense has been laughable at best since they got here. What makes you think that will change in the future?
Our OL has one commit, had plenty of experience and still they struggle just as much as last year not being able to run/pass block. The only difference is this schedule has been easier than last years and even that was not as hard as usual.
I wouldn't have a problem if this team didn't look the exact same as last year and we didn't suck at recruiting.
Where on this team has there been vast improvement? LDR has been in Nusschamps/Macs system for over two years. 2013, 2015, this year. He got scared against NT. Kicker has been our only major improvement on this team.
You guys keep complaining about WM but half this roster is Mac's and 70% will be his by next year. With 60% 3 *s. WM defense saved last year like in 2012 and the talent this year kept us from losing to UMass and Vandy despite how bad of a DC Collins is. Do you guys really think this team which has shown no discipline, adjustment fire or major improvement and has been out recruited and coached since Mac got here is magically going to beat teams with a young defense made up of players that wouldn't be on the two deep on most of the SEC and an offense that is so predictable and mediocre that no matter the QB the results are the same? Wait til next year is your mantra, the team will be better! Well next year you're gonna see what happens when you recruit like Missouri and play like a bottom SEC on offense. It ain't gonna be pretty and those are facts. We'll be lucky to win 7 games. Thanks to the best AD in the country you'll get to see Mac in 2018 regardless he'll only have a $10M buyout after this year and a $7.75M after next year. That's on top of $5M we'll pay for his csu clause.

Florida is going to get a commit this weekend that will move them to 9th in the country in the 247 class rankings. But that doesn't fit the terrible recruiter narrative so you won't mention that.

need i remind you that we were 4-1 in 2013 going into the LSU game. we lost that game and the remaining 6 games after that. 4-1 doesn't mean anything to me. especially seeing who we've played thus far.
