Perine was a better receiver last year (in every category from average yards per reception, points scored, total yards etc. etc.) than Emory was a runner,

Wow, stop the presses, a guy had more yards per reception that a guy had per rush. What a lame statement considering youd have to go pretty far down the list of CFB to find a situation where that isnt the case

CFBs leading rusher this year avg’d 6.4 ypc. Emory 6.1. More than Pierce, Perine and Davis
The 50th WR in yards has a 12.3 ypc avg so yeah, No shite Sherlock, ppl can run out for a pass easier than running through a front 7

I was wrong.

HE WAS 2ND ON THE TEAM IN TACKLES, not third.

55 tackles, 5.5 TFL, and 3 sacks.

PS Houston who WAS the back up (sorry I get them mixed up) had 38 tackles, 6 TFL, and 3.5 sacks. He was 6th on the team in tackles AS A BACK UP.

Maybe if you actually backed up your bull shite with stats rather than hot takes this would be going better for you. As it stands now, everyone on this board just thinks you are a retard and a tool.

Nothing special here, these guys have 4 sacks combined. You dont think a DT or 2 from this class like Dexter pushes for playing time?

you didn't answer my question.

Would you trade Clint McMillon and Javier Estopinan and Mike Pouncey playing DT (LOL) for this group of starters?

If your answer is anything other than no, trololol

And yes, of course I hope a talent like Dexter can show out right away, but I won't hold my breath.

So if Perine can catch the ball and replicate Emory's production as a runner what sense does it make to remove almost all of our production at passing?

He wasn't a phenomenal runner, and padded some stats.

He had one rush for 29 yards against mighty Towson.

He averaged ~8 yards against Tennessee Martin.

4.7 vs. FSU.

4.3 vs. Auburn. (Okay, now we're starting to see a problem.)

4.0 vs. LSU. (Here it comes.)

2.0 vs. Georgia. (Oh no.)

He played in 11 games and had 42 rushes. That averages out to 3.8 carries a game -- the UVA game he got taken out for an injury.

These are not good metrics to throw out a top-tier passing Quarterbacks.

Will Reese, Houston or Miller go in the first 4 rounds of the draft?

Yes or No?

Thank you for agreeing, I swear you disagree just to disagree then I give you time and you always circle back and agree with where I was going.

Yes we have 4 DTs with playing experience, just like we have 2 Backers with experience but they are not better than the young guys behind them who should beat them out for the job. Which would make like I said, the talent level higher but also inexperienced.

Top tier passing QBs throw for 300 yards vs top tier teams. How did Trask do vs Auburn n UGA again??

Sure, he threw 39 times vs the poors to pad stats but when we needed a big game, he shriveled like your weewee in a cold pool

Says the dumbass who literally just admitted he was wrong about Miller being a starter and his ranking in team tackles

I can play this game too

Trask
VS Vandy 363 yds / 37 att 9.81 avg
Vs FSU 343 / 41 8.37
Here we go Vs UGA 257 / 33 7.79
AUB 234 / 31 7.55
And finally SC 200 / 33 6.06

2007 was the worst defense at UF in the last 40 years.

Do you really think this defense will be that bad?

I didnt say it would be bad, i said it reminds me of 07 when we lost guys after 06 and had young guys making their first starts fulltime

07's back end was the problem. Only losing CJ. Plenty of depth. Just need English to coach up the safeties...

Dear god we are fricked.

Who, Miller? I wouldnt say sucks but I saw enough missed tackles to know I dont want him starting full time.

Ok cool. Cause yeah uf is losing 5 starters (although carter technically started more than Zuniga) and 2 back ups. In 07 they lost 9 starters and 5 key back ups and what made it worse was the number of true sophomores that had to play that next year. Uf is in much better shape although I bet the defense isn’t as good as last year overall.

I could be wrong though. They find one good every down rusher and nickel/safety improves at all and UF could stay just as strong as last year.

Id like to see Dex crack the rotation by time we hit the meat of our schedule. We need a stud at DT
Hopefully Cox is the player we all hope he is.
Bogle, Carter and Moon should be a good rotation. Diabate had flashes of being a beast.
Keep Burney at LB, like to see Hopper get more time

Dean should never play another down at safety/Star

You actually think those are padded stats?

What about the 300 in Death Valley?

Emory didn't do anything the entire year to show he should start over Trask. Did Trask dunking on your boyfriend really shake you this hard to your core?
